ONLY 15,000 bouncy castles on sale in all of ASDAs 354 stores throughout the UK.

FROM THE ASDA PRESS OFFICE:
Customers to ASDA stores will be able to get hold of a bouncy castle and high performance electric pump for just £60 from 16 May less than the price many companies charge to hire one for a day.

The news is bound to cause uproar in the inflatable toy market where many companies charge up to £100 a day to hire a similar sized inflatable.

And retailers will also be letting off plenty of hot air with many offering similar models to ASDAs at almost twice the price.

Said Georgina Cokill, ASDA outdoor toy buyer: "Over the years bouncy castles have become a bit of a summer staple, loved by kids of all ages.

"However, with consumers tightening their belts at the moment, grossly inflated prices to hire or buy bouncy castles have meant they were in grave danger of becoming a forgotten source of summer fun until now!"

ASDAs bouncy castle, which is 8ft by 8ft when inflated and 6ft high, comes with a state of the art pump, which will ensure the castle is fully erect in approximately one minute. Suitable for two children between the ages of three and ten at any one time, it also comes with four ground stakes for added stability and a puncture repair kit.

15,000 bouncy castles will go on sale in all of ASDAs 354 stores throughout the UK.

This move is the latest in a series of market-leading price promotions from ASDA, with the supermarket also offering a 10ft wide trampoline with safety enclosure at an industry-low price of just £98.

Said Peter Pritchard, Director of General Merchandise at ASDA: "Having supervised fun in the garden this summer shouldnt cost the earth and were sure that ASDA customers will be jumping for joy when they hear about our latest ground-breaking offer."

Yes it's in store RIGHT NOW!! I really was amazed - really good construction and a serious motor keeping it nice and plump. I guess this is an ASDA 'one-off'. Once it's gone, it's gone...

my kids friends have all got trampolines in their garden, but it would take over our little garden. At least with this it can be taken down easy & put away  We've had early learning centre bouncy castles before, but they haven't been airflow ones so tend to go down after an hour or so bouncing so one of these would be much better :)

My kids have a very similar one to this and it is fabulous!! Inflates in seconds and is really easy to fold up and put away at the end of a day!!

Our Asda has loads still in, they are not selling apparently. Maybe because everyone already bought trampolines!

seems good to me!!

We got the Woolies one a few weeks back - it's really good. Only suitable for little ones though - wonder how this one holds up.

On a seperate note:

"Having supervised fun in the garden this summer shouldnt cost the earth and were sure that ASDA customers will be jumping for joy when they hear about our latest ground-breaking offer."

This person should be shot. Marketing weasel.

8x8x6ft bloody hell that's tiny! As for it costing "£100 a day" to hire one well I hired one last August for my sons birthday and it only cost £50 for the whole day. Wonder how much electricity this thing consumes aswell?

I've got the Woolies one and my electricity monitor thingy tells me it uses about 2-3p an hour to run, so hardly breaking the bank. It's only for little kids really - my 3 year old loves it.

This one is different to the one pictured on the woolies website , the one available at asda is made by duplay.
Just bought it now after searching on the net for a better price , lol !! Needless to say the next best price I could find was £99 with free delivery so off I went to my local store in Birchwood,Warrington and picked one up for our 2 boys aged 4 and 6. (approx 8 left on the shelves)
They had one on display and it looked great !!

Heat added , Cheers OP !!
