Got a similar one from Tesco's last week, also reduced to £15. Took 3 hours to fill it. Good job I ain't on a meter.

After 3 days though the algae starts to build up in them so the water will need changing, unless you by some treatment sachets from B&Q for about £3, this allows the water to be kept for 7-10 days. Assuming that is your kids ain't adding their own! water to it .

Your water rates are HIGH!

what are yours then ?

i've found costs of 6 litres = 1p on a water company website

2300 / 6 = 383.3333333333333 x 0.01 = £3.83

plus whatever vat they do

so not quite a fiver, but not so far short either
