I saw this item for £92.81 delivered back in November - when I couldn't afford it. The offer then expired due to it being out of stock. I've been checking the site on an almost daily basis. It is now available again but now at £78.06 delivered - nearly £15 cheaper.

I've been looking for a while and I believe it to be the cheapest 8Gb (2x4Gb) SODIMM 1066MHz RAM available and in stock of any brand in the UK.

Just before christmas I got 2x4GB SODIMM 1066MHz RAM from Crucial for ~£80 for my iMac.
Just checked now, it is £70.30 with 7% coupon (CRUPROMO7 - expire 01/04/11).

Possible 7% TopCashback as well as they list this coupon. Makes this deal cold either way.

Funny...

I was on the Crucial website last night and downloaded their UK Mac Scanner. It identified the RAM I required and then took me to a page on their site which said that they were out of stock - hence:

I believe it to be the cheapest 8Gb (2x4Gb) SODIMM 1066MHz RAM available and in stock of any brand in the UK.

Had it been in stock, I would have bought it, believe me! I've been waiting long enough!

Had a bit of a marlarkey with CBC beforer xmas. They showed some Kingston memory as in stock so I ordered online but the payment server crashed so I had to ring and do it over the phone. I was promised delivery but it never showed, endless calls and I finally gave up and asked for a refund...took 4 calls to finally get the refund. I would buy the memory somewhere else even if it cost slightly more.

Apple says that the macbook only supports up to 4GB so Crucial will only advertise 2x2GB ram for you. But unofficially the macbook does support 8GB of ram.

I'm on a MacBook Pro. I didn't add the 'Pro' simply because it sounds a little bit elitist. So Crucial's Mac Scanner knew exactly what I am using, and did not have them in stock.

I still believe it was the cheapest 8Gb (2x4Gb) SODIMM 1066MHz RAM available and in stock of any brand in the UK when it was posted.

What the hell, I only ever look at this site via my iPhone app usually. Can't see me bothering to post anything again if people are so eager to squash anything in sight that they will ignore the lack of stock for a bit of swaggering.
