8gb Micro SD(SDHC) card £26.98 @ dvd.co.uk

Another tumbling price for memory.

This is the 1st time that I have seen an 8gb card for less than £30.
Go through Quidco to bring the price down, they only pay 2%, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.(£24.49)

Special Features:
High storage capacity (8GB) for storing essential digital content such as high quality photos, videos, music and more
Optimal speed and performance for microSDHC compatible devices
Speed performance rating: Class 4 (based on SD 2.00 Specification)
High Quality microSDHC card backed by 5 year limited warranty
Built to last, with an operating shock rating of 2,000Gs, equivalent to a ten-foot drop
SanDisk microSDHC 8GB card ships with Bonus MobileMate Micro Reader
High speed USB 2.0 compatible transfer rates
No additional card adapters required
Compatible with Windows Vista and certified for Windows XP and Mac OS X

Call me tight if you like, but I really object to paying £4.50 for something thats weighs about 30 grams and actually costs 56p plus the price of a jiffy to post (unless their using REALLY amazing jiffys !).

I remember buying an 8mb Mini SD card for my mum's phone a few years ago, I paid about £25 :w00t:

I nearly bought it, but I couldn't justify it having gone from zero PSP's to 4 PSP's within a month.
I sold 1 yesterday, but bought another today. I'm addicted. :x

An Amazon marketplace seller. I haven't used the marketplace, but I believe that you are pretty much taking the same chance as buying from Ebay.
I use Ebay reguarly, but you need to know what you're doing.

Edit: I see it has been confirmed as a market place seller. Pay your money, take your chance.

I have no problem with you bringing it to everyone's attention.

They are probably no worse than anyone else, but I think people need to be aware that they are not buying from Amazon.co.uk. :)

This is a goooood price! Memory cards are getting so cheap these days!

4GB micro sd are £11.99 inc delivery at play.com...

So there is still the premium for having a bigger card. Its currently cheaper to buy 2 x 4GB cards.
The sweet spot ( cheapest per GB ) is now on 4GB cards . Up until last week 2GB cards were the best value..

Hopefully the 8GB cards will drop to about double the cost of 4GB cards soon.

2 x Sandisk 4gb Micro SD @ £12.90 (thehut.com) = £25.80
1 x Sandisk 8gb Micro SD @ £27.90 this deal) = £27.90

Information gathered from: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1873464#post1873464

The difference is around 8%, so it's not that much of a difference. £2.10 is not worth worrying about if 1 card is more convenient. :)

Not sure if it's the same but they have this on Play.com
8GB SD HC Memory Card £14.99 Free Delivery

Sorry this is an SD card not a MicroSD as pointed out by other members of this site

ok not the same card, but ebuyer have this card Veho 8GB Class 6 150x Hi Speed Secure Digital Card for £19.97inc vat. Bought one back in February (paid £23) for my eeePC working well, had intended to use Windows XP with it, instead I just use it as removable storage.
#15
I would point out Marketplace Sellers have NO CHOICE in their delivery charges, while I understand the no marketplace rule on HUKD for certain items where it is cheaper with P&P I don't see the problem in the comparison IMHO.

Not micro though, so can't be used in thousands of varying mobile devices.

I don't think the problem is with the delivery charges, there are loads of deals posted daily with delivery charges. Look at Dell who charge an extortionate amount for delivery.

£31.90 here if you need a reader to go with it.

Is this PSP compatible then?

It is possible that it will be compatible with an adaptor.

Personally, I would go for one for a 8gb Micro M2 with adaptor, but be aware that some people have had issues with it in a PSP.

Or just get 2 4gb Micro M2's

Have a look in this thread: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169419

I would suggest that anyone just buying this because it's cheap (rather than really needing one) wait till they need one proper. Memory prices seem to be falling through the floor atm, probably connected to that credit crunch thing lol
You'll get a 16gb SD card for £20 by summer methinks.

Just what i was looking for for ny Nokia N95. Ordered one just now I doubt I will get it till the end of the weeks as its bank holiday monday. thats the only bad thing.

Strangely enough, the marketplace seller you've highlighted is actually DVD.co.uk - the same company this thread is about. If you buy it via Amazon Marketplace, you're getting it from the same company, but at a slightly cheaper price

We are a newly formed sales arm of DVD.CO.UK Limited solely dedicated to supplying memory products at the most competitive prices.

DVD.CO.UK Ltd have been selling DVDs, CDs, Books, Games and Memory on their own site and on Amazon UK, DE and FR for a number of years. We have many thousands of satisfied customers.

That's the marketplace seller's blurb.
