Should have known you animated avatar guys would stick by each other :whistling:

I like your avatar SpoonyBoy - makes me laugh!
#5
Me too have voted this cold and because I don't like your avatar too
#6
Voting cold as my avatar is not to your liking, shame Anime is not mainstream. I know some would classify us as another sect of the community but nowadays i know a number of people who watch Naruto or even Bleach. Not forgetting 100's of other great anime's like Akira, Patlabor, AppleSeed etc... Or series like Death Note, Macross Frontier, Gundam 00 etc.. etc...

Please can people vote on whether the deal is good or not [don't think that'll happen with some of the comments above!]
#7
Heat given - not sure why all those chumps are going on about avatars :?

Some good prices there.........

Voted hot, anyone here watch avatar?

Where these out in the movies? Must have missed them, are they any good, I'm after a new Bourne time film, will these do??? :p

Are this store reliable ? I Have looked at a lot of reviews on the net and quite a few people had problems (sometimes receiving the wrong goods). The reviews for products on the site don't seem very genuine to me either..

I have used them before & they do seem Kosher, i have just placed my 3rd order with them today & their c/svce seems excellent (so-far).

Yes all 3 of these are excellent Anime movies, there are 100's more but you need to look out for them, Anime is a growing market. Cartoons like Pokemon, Naruto (still ongoing and getting stronger & better!), Bleach (just as good!), One Piece are just a few examples of Anime that have moved into the mainstream ie Cartoon Network or Jetix. Just search online for anime forums to find out the best out there. I'm getting on a bit now and past my prime some say (wonder if i ever had one) but I really enjoy Anime if they've got a good storyline & well drawn. My kids even watch them also - and no we're not Japanese! Some good series to watch out for: Naruto, Bleach, XXXHolic Series 1 or even XXXHolic Kei, Soul Eater, Macross Frontier, Natsume Yuujinchou, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, D-Grayman, EVE no Jikan, HellSing OVA & Series, Blood+ just to name a few!

yes, shame its all ended now, wonder if they will do an avatar prequel or even one showing the aftermath? i know they're doing a movie though - so something to look forward to!

Voted hot and ordered playtv :-D

I was really curious about PlayTV, but having just read a whole load of reviews for PlayTV, my mind is made up that it's really not worthwhile!

Briefly, the things that put me off (gleaned from reading the reviews, so apologies for any inacuracies):
1. I really find it hard to believe that they don't bundle a remote with it (they bundle an overlay sticker for you to put onto your BD remote......should you buy one seperately!!!
2. Because the only "proper" remote option is a seperate blutooth device, it means I'll not be able to use my Logitech remote to control it - effectively, no matter what I'd have at least 2 remotes bobbing about!
3. It's ugly and plugs into the USB port at the front of the PS3 - this is hardly endearing to someone that wants a nice attractive AV unit, especially when they've done their best to make the actual PS3 wireless.
4. I gather it will only record 1 program at a time, but allows you to watch another whilst it records - dual recording has been a standard feature on PVR's for ages, so quite shocking if correct.
5. It is pretty much pointless unless you upgrade your PS3 HDD (so another £60 for a decent size one). Almost every HD TV has freeview built in, so £110+ just to be able to record seems a lot of money to me!
6. It doesn't seem to include series-link, which is quite unbelievable if correct!

Now I know this post will no doubt draw the wrath of all those PS3 fans out there, and obviously some of these problems can be cured with software updates, but it's just not good enough for such a product!
#15
have to laugh at the nice attractive av unit comment...i have a ps3 and its good at what it does but attractive it aint...all thats missing is george foreman leaning on it saying its a lean mean grilling machine
#16
There's a playable demo of PlayTV available at the playstation store.

I'll be buying it because I suspect they'll be adding features to it later that will make it better than my TiVo (yes that old thing).
#17
Erm, the link goes through a track.webgains.com link? Is it a referrer link, or is my browser being silly?
#18
you can only use 1 voucher at a time...can't use both

No it won't.

I'm a PS3 owner and was waiting for this. Was gonna blindly go in and buy play tv until I ready some comments. Gave up on it. Sadly.

Nothing against anime, just finished watching Fruits Basket (no nasty swords there!) - just the flickering in your avatar really got to my eyes. Of course I did actually vote hot - thanks for posting the vouchers and the deal :)

Great idea, lovely interface, dubious implementation. Gonna wait until people have it and a couple of updates have happened.

Good price but...

it was just a copy/paste from the memory bits website. i wouldn't use the direct link personally. go into quidco & click on the links from there - that way you should be able to get the quidco & voucher together

my quidco has tracked & also the voucher has been applied, so to the other user who mentioned you can't have both it seems like you can - or am i missing something?

also this deal isn't just for the cheap PS3 peripheral, its for the ultra-cheap PS3 games & Wii games. not forgetting the mobile phone accessories, memory cards etc...

hope some other members found this deal useful :-D

I went to memorybits via quidco and it says the following

Because you came from a cashback site, you cannot use discount codes
#26
Odd, I went from Quidco yesterday and bought the PlayTV with the 10% discount code. Got the £9.44 tracked in Quidco too.
#27
You Cant Use The Discount Codes And Quidco.so Works Out At £60 Same As Play.com Etc

"Integral 2gb Micro SD memory £3.65 delivered [price after discount & quidco £2.64!!!] - perfect for the R4DS"
How do you get to £2.64, the card starts at £3.65 minus 15% is £3.10 and there is £1.99 postage to make it £5.09 and 15% Quidco is £4.32? Or are you not counting postage? Or can you get free postage (Its quoting £1.99 at checkout)?

Also: "Because you came from a cashback site, you cannot use discount codes"

Apologies i was getting tired of writing each line 1 by 1 so i did a copy/paste

So yes it's not Free delivery for the item but i did mention in the OP that it's £20 for FREE delivery - apologies again for anyone who felt i didn't inform you

Seems quite a few people took up this offer - me also! And yes i did get Quidco plus my discount. It may be their servers target certain individuals & not qive them both, whereas others do get both - an X-Files case i wonder?

Mine didn't turn up on Friday, and the order on the web site says there's a stock problem - I submitted a query as to why stock wasn't allocated when I placed my order but got nothing intelligent in reply.

Still no sign of it...

Just thought I'd say my play tv turned up yesterday. Not used it yet so dont know if its any good.
