And heavy sarcasm coupled with a complete lack of knowledge means that you know better than the OP.... right?

Dosent matter , gift limit is £18 if customs think its over that they will charge

I think you're getting confused with the limits. The limits are:

For merchandise the limit is £18
For items marked as gift it's £35

who cares its 38.10 so not under 35, fees are paid on full amount not on portion over limit.

very unlikely to get checked as dealextreme never label anything correctly - usually about a fiver or less but i wouldn't want the unexpected costs.
#10
I think the gift limit is £38 not £35 and it will depend on the exchange rate on the day as to whether or not 56.24 USD is over or under £38.

It does not matter if its marked as a gift, if customs think its retail and they get hold of it and thinks its worth more than £18 they will charge you

Or they could just seize the goods, and there's nothing the importer (the person ordering the goods) can do.

this will be a fake.

Dealextreme don't deal in genuine items.

EVEN THEIR R4 Cards for the DS are fake!!!!!!!! That's how fraudulent these guys are. Avoid like the plague.

This hardware will cause more damage to your laptop than an official GENUINE Samsung.

It's companies like dealextreme that deal with cheap crap that lets the official retailers sell at really high prices because they offer original equipment. Don't support fakes

Don't support fakes

It is in no way a "fake" any more than Tesco's tomato sauce is "fake" Heinz. They quite clearly state that it is a compatible, not an OEM item.

95% of the people on here have bought the r4s without any problems me included,
its people like you not dealextreme that help the 'official' retailers charge so much as you put people off buying cheaper alternatives that aren't from pc world, currys etc

im not saying that some off the stuff that they sell isn'tt cheap and nasty, but a lot of the stuff is just as good as an official product costing 3 times as much

Completely agree, I have bought loads of camera, camcorder and phone batteries from China over the years and never ever had a problem. Last week I got a similar battery from another supplier and it works perfectly. On the first charge it ran the NC10 for 9 hours.

I use dealextreme a lot and have never had a problem with the goods or delivery - every time I order something I find a new LED torch I fancy. House full of cheap, but very bright, LED torches now.

p.s. bought 2 DS cards (think they were the M3 ones before the R4's) arrived quickly and worked perfectly.

Hi, are you able to advise the name of the supplier? Cheers.

deal extreme isn't a seller of fake crap. Sure some of the stuff on the site isn't of top quality, but you pay for what you get and even the cheap stuff I've bought has worked. I use them often - bought a real variety of things and can't think of anything that has yet to fail!

Frankly the vast majority of our goods come from china and the surrounding area and I would imagine that a lot of the stuff on sale here from the likes of Tescos is sourced from the same suppliers as dealextreme and other online retailers.

Make a comment about paying for goods outwith our economy, or even have a go that you -might- be charged by customs (that has happened to me once, but it still worked out cheaper), but a lot of people on HUKD have used and have praised dealextreme!
#21
actually, I'll retract slightly. I have no idea whether this stuff is fake or not, but I don 't think it's crap!
#22
I've ordered around $1000 worth of stuff from dx, never paid duty on any of it. Yes they do sell some tat but a lot of it is stuff you'll find in 'quality' stores at 2-300% markup (3 watt LED GU10 lamps to note one such item). Highly recommend dx.

I have no problem with dealextreme but, untested high capacity batteries can heat up and sometimes explode. last thing you want with such an expensive netbook

These 9 cell batteries have been onsale on ebay for months and theres currenlty 20+ suppliers of them on there, many people have bought them and reported back excellent results on the NC10 forum, i havent seen a single complaint or problem and you can bet 99% of them all come fromt he same factory in China!
#26
I don't know about these Dealextreme batteries blowing up but I bought a six cell one for my Medion E1210 and the big problem is that the ****** keeps running out of charge after 5 hours or so :p
#27
I bought 2 M3 real cards of these guys and both cards were genuine, not like the one i had to send back to a UK site that was a clone ( Aria.co.uk) then took ages to get a full refund off them.

I would buy from these guys again.

If customs think the goods are over the import tax limit it will still get delivered as Royal Mail pay the fee then you have the choice to pay them on the door step or they take the goods back to their local sorting center. Then every so often the staff get to pick an item from the undeliverables and things like imports that were not accepted on delivery.

I Know :whistling:

I wish they did deals on my VGP-BPS8 or VGP-BPL8 laptop battery :(
I'm in desperate need of one.
#29
reason why no review ? maybe coz its a new item

must say i have been impressed with dx cust svc

had a couple of items recently watches one i sent pic of problem and they sent out new one
second watch more expensive returned item got a new one sent out and they paid charges for me to ship back

gooddeals9: prolly likes pcworld
#30
I must add to the support of DX. Great site, cool gadgets and tat, all cheap. Never had a problem with delivery. And not had a problem with their ds cards either. Word of warning, dont buy stuff from them, you will get hooked! Led torches, mmmm.

you (and the others) are clearly a bunch of absolute idiots who don't know your left from right. Go ahead. Put this in your £500 laptop. When your hardware fails don't come crying to me saying i'm sorry i didn't listen.

The Samsung NC10 doesn't cost £500.
#33
I bought a 7800 mah 9 celler for my AA1 from EBAY

I studied all the vendors involved and got lucky.

I would MUCH prefer to trade with DEAL EXTREME

I have ordered twice from DX and never had any probs or import/taxation issues

They do parcel tracking which is a geeat sign in itself

COCO

My battery had full advise about intial use / discharge and storage btw

So gooddeals9 has extremely strong views againgst dx site but is outnumbered by about 10 to 1 from people supporting the site with their experiences - everyone can make an objective decision. Just wondering why the gooddeals9 has such extreme views against them?:?
#35
I've ordered **** loads of DS Cards from this website and not had any bother at all with any of them.
I ordered an xbox hard drive, controller, and wifi adapter from them and they're all been genuine and not had any bother from them.

not everything they sell is fake.

Your statement above saying the laptop this battery is for costs £500 clearly shows you know nothing at all about wat your talking about, and judgiung from the replies from everyone else you are clearly OWNED!!!

Whether Customs think its Retail or not has NOTHING to do with the fact that you are wrong. You stated:

The Gift Limit is NOT £18.

wow some aggressive posting. It's a battery, not the fate of your life savings hanging in the balance. And even if it were much more expensive, is the nastiness at all necessary?

Thanks to those adding useful info. I'm looking to buy an NC10 and was not aware you could get batteries that lasted this long for it.
