I would have put 2 for 1 but I know what you're all like.

If you don't like herbal booze then shame on you.

Is proper Jager really £36 a bottle?!
#3
No it isn't! Its around £18! Not sure where you get your 1/4 of the price bit from!

heat added, my o/h has had this before (£9.50ish) from asdaa. he says it doesn't taste to different.
#5
what make is it? Josef Meiers?
#6
Ahh yes, Jagermeister so reminds of the Mooserwirt St Anton March 2008

That would be pedants. ;-)

you pernickety old woman!
#12
Get on the Aldi-meister! About 95% the same deficiently worth a go.
#13
Unless I'm mistaken, this make is in a 700ml bottle compared to the 500ml for the genuine jagermeister. Maybe the quantities are wrong but I'm sure this make is in a bigger bottle, as well as being much cheaper.

very funny

their gin and vodka own brands are both £8 and very nice - i can't touch cheap spirits but vodkas up there with russian standard and gin beats most commercial brands hands down. both have won at least silver medals in the IWS yearly competition over more expensive stuff like smirnoff (urgh).

cheaper and nicer than anything you'll find in tescos plus aldi mixers are good as well, can't go wrong
#16
I suppose the price is okay for what it is, but it's really not very nice at all in my personal opinion.

Jager has a pretty unique flavour and this was closer to Pernod than Jager!
#17
wonder if this would help my cold... :D

JAEGERBOMBS!
#23
is it as gd as jaeger? taste the same?
#24
If you must but on balance for taste and quality not great for me.

30% rather than 35% is not being pedantic. That's quite a difference. Yet it's still a good price if you like the taste. Not everyone does.
#26
Agreed, its not pedantic at all. Its like posting a deal for "Hennessy XO (equivalent)" and linking to cooking brandy.

taste is no where near the same along with the quality.
Jager is Jager for a reason. Accept no immitations

I have many Russian friends and they hate Smirnoff, they would not even call it vodka. They love the Tesco Russian standard I think it is called........great because it is a lot cheaper!!
#30
not the same thing...
#31
Bought a bottle of this and it does have Jager Bitter embossed down the side of the bottle...... and having drunk it I can confirm it does get you smashed!
#32
It was 4.99 euros in aldi in spain today (about £4.25 a bottle) ;-)

Add Blue Charge to this for a cheap but briliant night out!!!
#34
worth a punt
#35
I just thought I should update all the believers.... Aldi have stopped supplying... it seems that either we've drunk them dry or they've moved on.

Sad times.
#36
If this is the same stuff that they had in ASDA then it's nowhere near as nice as Jager!
