96 x AAA R3 UNIROSS ULTRA HIGH POWER ALKALINE BATTERIES £9.99 at eBay / qualitydiscounts

£9.99 @ eBay
Seems a bargain for 96 AAA batteries. Crimbo around the corner for the few things that do not devour the AA size. No mention of end date but I shall update when mine arrive by Yodel.

The Sony 10 for a quid are Zinc batteries that are prone to leak and are generally considered inferior to Alkaline.
The fact the Sony alkaline are 4 for a quid in Poundland reflects this.

I certainly wouldn't bother with those, you want the older Kodak ones.

Actually I go for green paper covered power cell the ones you get from India at 24 for a quid- they make great bangers!

I have rechargeable AAA batteries but even the uniross hybrio never seem to have a full charge when needed at short notice, so these are a bargain. Cheers OP

Nonsense.
I have few Sanyo Eneloops( bought 7 years ago) for these "short notice" things and even after 28 months from charge they still holds pretty good charge ( just checked now)

Most batteries contain cadmium, lead, mercury, copper, zinc, manganese, lithium, or potassium, which are all hazardous to the environment and also to human health.

Arrived today after the mix up with AA batteries being sent in error.
The AAA batteries are best before 09-2019
