Booked this yesterday for our 1st wedding anniversary in November. Worth paying the additional £12.50 each for breakfast.

The spa treatments are normally £30 each. This is a genuine 5star hotel in the centre of York.

£99 -- 5-Star York Hotel: £90 Off Rates & Spa Treatments*

The Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York's only 5-star property, is offering Travelzoo subscribers a special rate of £99 per room, per night. This deal also includes one spa treatment per person -- this adds up to a saving of over £90 on usual rates.

The hotel is housed in the former headquarters of North Eastern Railways, a Grade II-listed building. It offers a fully equipped spa, a whisky bar with an extensive menu, a garden terrace and a restaurant with views of the city. The Classic rooms feature Molton Brown bath products, Egyptian cotton linens, high-speed Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.

The spa includes a swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, a spa pool and a gym. The treatments available are the Marine Polish and the Aromatic Massage, which usually cost £30 each. Treatments must be reserved with the spa directly within 72 hours of making the booking**.

This deal is room only, however, the Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa is offering a special rate of £12.50 per person for breakfast when purchased at time of booking.

This exclusive deal is available for Sunday to Thursday stays until 25 November. Book by 21 September.

Blackout dates: 6, 7, 11-13 October; 4 November.

Can be booked over the phone: Call Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa on 0845 409 6430****

Well yes thats obvious, however I don't believe that spending £99 for a room on a Tuesday in Winter in York is that good deal. If they did the same deal on a Friday or Saturday then the deal would be great.

If you cant get availabiltiy for this hotel when you want can I reccomend the days inn Wetherby not too far away and cheaper and one of the best nights sleep Ihave ever had!

You missed off the big free one - the national railway museum. The art gallery also occasionally has some interesting exhibits, and is also free to all. The Castle Museum and Yorkshire Museum are free to York residents with a York Card (free from a library).
