Family rooms are an extra £50, or couples rooms an extra £10 for sea veiw. We booked 14th and 15th Feb, for the 4 of us (including kids) which is both half term and valentines day for £149 so very happy! I know it's off season but I imagine their will still be stuff to do, if not we stay in the pool! Thanks Heat and Rep! :)

thanks for the heads up about half time, think i'll pass because of that. Dont get me wrong, I have children just dont wanna spend valentines with or surrounded by them. Dont hate me. Really good deal tho.

It's a nice hotel - have been to a couple of wedding receptions there.

My mum lives in Lelant just down the road - I love St Ives, it is a beautiful place...
#10
is this per person or per room?
#11
Per room I'm pretty sure

nice deal
#12
definitely per room - just booked 4 nights for £198.

Bargain
#13
p.s. you can upgrade to a sea view for an extra £20 or £40 for a superior room (for the two nights)
#14
When I read the title I thought it meant there was a coach trip to a zoo included :w00t:
#15
Excellent price, excellent location and sure whoever goes will have a good time only having paid £25 per head per night.
If you want some reviews read tripadvisor as plenty on there and IMO pretty spot on with good and bad points. you are close enough to St Ives for a (hilly) walk into town to eat dinner and not bother with the hotel restaurant. Tesco's just down the road for provisions along with a nice local pub on the main road

It looks like this is a 14 hole par 3 course, not an 18 hole course. Can anyone confirm?

It is full 18 holes - very up and down. Quite good if not too wet. You might even get a free group lesson thrown in. Nice hotel.

Thanks for this, have booked in February with mrs. We had to cancel a stay in Gloucester a few weeks ago as she was poorly but this will make up for it, even though its a dam sight further away! :w00t:

Is the family rooms big enough for a family of 5, or will it only accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids?
#27
Glad alot of you got a bargain here.

My parents stayed at the hotel (castle) for their 25th wedding anniversary and they loved it.

We've been down there 3 times as a family and stayed for a week at a time in one of the outhouses. The golf wasn't free when we stayed, but it was a very nice course, one of the holes just outside the front of the hotel overlooks the harbour down in st ives itself.

Got some lovely gardens too and a lovely walk down to the sea/town - not such a nice walk back - up a very steep hill!

Nice little gym/swimming pool etc...

Lovely place for a relaxing uk break - clear blue seas, almost white sands - I'm not even exagerating...

Well worth the price...

Anyone been on one of these breaks yet? Me & Mrs Yaffle just got back from a 2 night stay and we have to say we were very pleased with what we got for the money. It was a bit of a drive there and I insisted on doing all the driving as it was my treat (4 1/2 hrs either way!) but it was worth it. The hotel & staff were very nice, beautiful grounds, lots of facilities as mentioned previously and we had a seaview from room 7 overlooking the bay & harbour in St Ives all for £99. The breakfast was the usual help yourself, but there was a good choice and we ate in the hotel both nights and the food was very nice too. Food & drink prices were reasonable too, with free wi-fi if you were missing HUKD's  (no I didn't!). St Ives itself is a lovely little place with beautiful golden sand on the fairly small beaches it has (2 or 3?), and was within easy walking distance of the hotel (although it was uphill coming back so not so good for old or very young). I expected St Ives itself to be a bit bigger than it was but a 2 night break at this time of year was about right. I'm sure in the height of summer with everything open and the warmth of the sun making it more inviting to stay on the beach a week would be easy to fill with things to see & do. All-in-all a big thumbs up for the hotel & St Ives :thumbsup:

Thanks to the OP for posting!

p.s. its a good place to get married if anyone was thinking about it, there was a wedding there on Saturday and it seemed to go off ok, with a free firework display for us on the night

Cheers for that review - I go in two weeks time.

What sort of cost did you pay for the meals in the restaurant?
