this isn't a "dig" at the OP....it's just the way this site has started going......

why just post one deal....why not post the top 40 cities in my city deal, that way everyone gets a "deal"... you could even post the 20 or so deals that appear on LIDL two or three times a week...better still....why not just take a copy and paste of the 100's of deals on the "offer of the day" site....post a "real" deal instead....this site is going to the dogs, with very few real deals appearing now....

or even better....can everyone stop posting "My City Deals" as it appears they are invariably RIP OFFS when you start to factor in all the other costs...check previous threads on here and on MSE

Not all deals appeal to everyone and this site is for the 'best' deals around to be posted. Alot of what is on these and other websites are not good deals and therefore do not deserve a post or even a mention. I would prefer to see for example: 3 or 4 top deals posted rather than a list each day listing 3 or 4 good, 10 average and 10 rip off. Also limited time offers worthy of a post deserve exposure of their own :)

How effective is this whitening service?
Does it make teeth very noticably whiter, or just slightly?

Anyone with experience of this, advice would be appreciated.

This site does seem to be overrun at the moment with My City deals - they don't appeal to me because of all the masive problems people seem to have with them.

Looking at their website, this seems to be laser whitening - if so, it is a fairly good price. However, it is not a dental practise as far as I can see. The whitening is done by a 'quailfied Laser Therapist' whatever that is. On the other hand, you can also get a £25 spray tan whilst you are there...... that will help to make your teeth look even whiter.

Not everyone's teeth are suitable for whitening and I would rather pay the extra £100 and look for a good deal at an actual dentists surgery than risk my teeth with a 'Laser Therapist.'.

There is a huge thread on MSE about teeth whitening and a dentist called Toothsmith who gives sensible advice.

WTF!

people think an hours labour and probably about £5 of materials is a good deal at £99!

here you go...here's all my deals I posted...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?user_id=7915&user_search_type=threads&forums[]=1&forums[]=2&forums[]=3&forums[]=4&sort_results_by=Thread+Start+Date&sort_results_option=DESC&advanced_search=Search+Now

just copy and paste the link if you want.

AND if I found anything on MSE...I give credit when I bring it to HotdealsUK... you should (if you take the time to read through them) I don't simply go to "offer of the Day" and list verbatim, which sadly is what is happening here nowadays with new posters....they find one deal then proceed to list every blasted thing on the site (Lidl is a prime example), you'll also see most of my deals are "hot" some quite hot, granted a few cold, but I for one am not jumping on the "my city deal" bandwagon.;-)

Voice of reason once again!!

I do know someone that had this done, there was a noticeable difference but once she started drinking tea & coffee and anything else that would stain your teeth (which you are advised not to do), she was back to almost square one. OK for a short time but if you want to enjoy your food & drink I personally would use my money for better things.

also your teeth get very sensitive using that procedure!! go to the dentist.

I had this done by this clinic in March this year. White foods only diet for 3 days was recommended to me which wasn't as bad as it sounds. I was impressed initially and people did notice but I did then use the 'at home kit' within a few weeks, luckily the kit should last me 12 months so I can maintain the look. I have not suffered any sensitivity during this process.

The actual procedure was bleach application then 12 mins under the UV light, reapply then further 10 mins, reapply then final 10 mins. On reflection some of the other clinics have longer application times (20 mins per application) and I think this makes all the difference. I would recommend going elsewhere to be honest, you get what you pay for.

Ok white teeth look great , but they do say the whiter natural teeth are, the weaker the enamel is.
