Good value
MP3 download then ?
About time the prices came down.
Just downloading. Thanks for the post.
got it for 3 quid last time and thought that was a bargain. Heat added.
The album sits on my mp3 along with the relaxing classics, and gives a welcome change when needed.
Have a feeling I'll be downloading more after payday :-D
Have heat from me, love listening to classical stuff as I study/read.
Excellent - got this last time but lost it in a hard drive failure, so many thanks for the heads up.
I have this - listen to it almost everyday whilst working. About 11 hours of music on there!
It started with K Tel's "Classics 100" back in the 70s. Just how many compilations of 'favourite/classic/unmissable/romantic classical pieces' can the market take?
Not a bad start for someone who does not own any kind of Classical music, and will make a change from JLS Greatest Hits.
classical music is not ideal for mp3 format. Wonder how much the CDs are?

Amazon has 159 box sets of classical compilations under £5. Take your pick. They'll all more or less have the same pieces on them.
I went to checkout with this and there was a discount applied so i got it for £1.21, not sure why?

These are bleeding chunks. eg, Also Sprach Zarathustra is about half an hour of continuous music. You get the first one minute, 41 seconds here. Similarly, The Four Seasons is four concertos of three movements each. You only get the first movement of 'Spring' in this selection. In fact, with the exception of one or two overtures, each of these pieces is just a short section of something much longer.

This is only any good as a sampler. There are many classical bargains to be found on Amazon (just look for 'new and used' in the CDs) but this isn't one of them.
just got bach and schubert!thanx!
@souljacker - amazing coincidence alert! I'm sat listening to the album at the moment! Always liked Eels but never got round to getting this album. About halfway in and I'm loving it.

Chapperz :-)
By the way - forgot to say - great spot OP! OK you maybe don't get full concertos but as an overall way of appreciating different styles or someone wanting to try classical, this has got to be a bargain!

Great find - thanks for that! Downloading as i type... should be ready by this time next year thanks to Sky's "up to 20Mb" connection!! Heat added.
