Came across this the other day and it seems like a bargain to me.

What you get:

Pink Samsung Tocco Lite Refurbished
18 month contract
300 minutes anytime a month
Unlimited texts
(On Vodaphone network)
Possible £50 quidco?

This all comes to 99p a month but the only downside is you have to go through redemption process but I have personally never had a problem with this its relatively simple and hassle free.

So 99p a month x 18 = £17.82
Phone worth say £25
Possible quidco (not sure of this though) £50

With quidco you would gain £57.18
Without quidco you would gain £7.18
And you would get an 18 month contract

Here is information on claiming cashback: http://www.mobiles.co.uk/cashback.html

If you do order remember to Gadget Helpline and PhoneCare Insurance. All you have to do is ring up.

I know some of you may have had a bad time with redemption but for me I have never had a problem with this website. Hope this helps someone on here :)

Regarding to the redemption stuff, if I port my old number to the new contract, will it affect the redemption process? Has anyone try to do that before?
#3
redemption.....18months....full price should be listed NOT after savings...title very missleading....(_;)

I doubt that it will have any effect on your redemption process if you're gonna try port your old number, but be carefull with the redemption thingie and read T&C. Mobiles.co.uk is not that bad with redemption cashback, but it's rather strange that they would sell this phone for so cheap. Don't forget it's refurbished as well.

Well good luck to those buying it.

Yes, I agree. Redemption is never guaranteed as too many companies go bust.

Mobiles.co.uk is one of the Carphone Warehouse online companies, long established and not likely to fold. I have a redemption deal with them and they have been paying out with no problems. You can send in your bills online, as files (no postage to pay), and you get immediate acknowledgement. I reckon people who complain about not getting paid are those who are disorganised or forgetful and don't send the right bills in on time. It isn't rocket science, but you have to get it done. The company is not going to make special exceptions for you if you are late- they prefer people to mess this up because then they don't have to pay.

edit- I use the calendar/reminder feature in Thunderbird (email program from Mozilla) to keep track of this kind of thing and make sure I don't forget. I also keep ALL the paperwork and emails.

Hi!
I currently have a contract with mobiles.co.uk having ported a number onto it. When you do the porting you have to tell the company you've done it and in the subsequent cashback claims I quote both the old and new telephone numbers in the covering letter. But 14 months into the contract, everything has gone OK and the cashback has been paid as expected.
So if I was in the market for another contract I would certainly look long and hard at this one.

Personally, never had a problem with them and cashback.

Currently on my 4th cashback contract with Mobiles and although there was a hic-cup on one last year, a quick email seemed to get it sorted and that was it.

Always used to use e2save and never had a problem with them either regarding cashback, but Mobiles have the facility to email in your bill, which I find far easier than going to the post office ;)

Have also always ported my number across when I've had a new contract and not once had any problems with cashback from anywhere?

Obviously, just my experience, you pays your money and takes your chances, so to speak :)

Its a shame quite a few people have had positive experiences and that just because some people have had bad experiences with other companies or forgot to claim with this one are voting cold. Means others who could benefit won't see the offer.

OP, don't forget that you have to pay £25 every month before you can claim your cashback, so it is a bit dissapointing. Though, the deal itself is quite awesome.

It is a mistake to only look at the hot deals. My bookmark for this site specifies "/all/deals/new". These redemption deals are always panned, but you can save more with them than buying post-Easter cream eggs or even half off Argos home electricals, which is today's hottest.

Sorry to seet this is getting even colder than my post for the lg Viewty snap. Got the almost identical phones and deal for my 7 and 9 year olds through dial-a-phone 12 mths ago, which is perfect for them and will end up being very cheap for me. All the calls and text they will ever use for 18 mths for £17.92.
Done my bit heat added.

i have used this site a few times - the emailing of bills can be a bit hit n miss the confirmation u get is when u click the send button and thats it just a " u have sent it" page no email confirmation for weeks then u r on tenterhooks if ur gonna get it or not - but i always did sometimes needed a few emails though - i preferred to spend the £1.23 on recorded del then u have real proof
be prepared to keep on top of things

Maybe you need to relax your spam filter a bit. I have now had four email acknowledgements at different stages on my recent claim, the last one saying the cheque has been issued.

STN - Seems to be £30 per month - unless I've selected the wrong Option.

Gets to the checkout and confirms 99p/m by redemption but does not detail the total redemption amounts!
- just a little worried!!!

Another option is £35/month for 12 months - total cost £35 but only 12 months !
