In the 1970s when cowboy films were all the rage I remember seeing someone using Dowsing rod to search for water so I thought I'd give it a go i made my own rods out of two car aerials! did it work you ask ( yes and no ) i did not find any underground water or streams but found lots of water coming out of my eyes after my dad found out I had snapped the aerial off of his Old ford Cortina. hope you have better luck?oO

Pmsl, heat for the story alone :D

Cold for two reasons:

1. You can make a pair of rods using a wire coat-hanger and a couple of Bic pen casings.
2. Water divining/dowsing doesn't work anyway.

Untrue, it did work. Op said water was found after his old man gave him a hiding and that water was not apparent before he tried dowsing.

No-one has ever been able to prove that dowsing works under scientifically controlled conditions. If anyone genuinely believes that it does work then head on over to James Randi's website - he'll give you a million dollars if you can prove it.

Mmmmmmmmm ! Two bent bits of metal for a tenner. oO . Although i've given you a little warmth for the audacity of the seller.
This guy found they worked though.

james Randi has his own criteria when it comes down to it, prof Dean radin and Rupert Sheldrake's experiments would have easily qualified as they were designed to be cricitised and expected harse opposition from the get go.
suffice to say Randi did not pay out.

however clearly loads of charlatans have had a go and of course nearly all were indeed charlatans.

Yes but these are from China and they've chopped down all their trees.

Clarification for any readers:
Water Divination does not work !!!!
Morphic Fields do not exist.
Parapsychology is wishful thinking, no more no less !!!

The comment about Charlatans is almost TRUE, (Correction: ALL WERE CHARLATANS) !!! :)

(Includes Dean Radin, Rupert Sheldrake and any other crackpots or Con Merchants (You decide which) !!!)
