Interview with John Woo

The ultimate DVD presentation of the ultimate Hong Kong gangster action movie!

A simple but compelling tale of two brothers - Ho Tse Sung (Ti Lung), a successful counterfeiter, and Kit Sung (Leslie Cheung), a rookie graduate of the Hong Kong Police Academy - the plot focuses on Woo's favourite themes of honour, brotherhood and loyalty.

Incarcerated after a deal goes wrong, on his release from prison Ho decides it is time to go straight. However, he is coerced back into a life of crime by his former associates and his need to help his best friend and former right-hand man Mark (Chow Yun-Fat), who has fallen on hard times. Ho is also attempting to reconcile his relationship with his policeman brother, who blames him for the death of their father and is coming under increasing pressure from his superiors because of his familial links to organised crime.

A series of heists, double-crosses and shoot-outs lead to a climactic battle in which two men find themselves fighting for their lives and their honour...

Next cheapest seems to be £7.50 DVD.co.uk :) Good price on this one then :p
if you haven't seen this film before you should because it is top notch, hopefully this is the English dubbed version rather than the English subbed version.
Much prefer the subbing than dubbing :)
only thing with subbing i always find i am reading the subtitles more than watching the film but hopefully this would have both options on the one disk
subbing please! dubbing is usually sooooooooooooooo bad!

I suppose it depends. i am a very speedy reader, and I hardly even notice that i am watching a subtitled film. You do lose the nuances though... e.g. I watched cache subtitled recently, and you lose the plays on words etc...
Film has cantonese audio track (dolby digital 1.0) and is subbed in english

Their is no mention of English dubbing as sometimes you get both, I don't mind dubbed films as long as the dubbing is good as sometimes it is poor and prefer to watch a subtitled film
Both English subs & dialogue (Screen shot below)

For an honest review (HKcinemagic aren't trying to sell it!)
hey! this is unfair! i thought 5.99 is cheap enough 2 weeks ago, i thought it will got up then lol
I dont own this version but I think it comes with both dubbed and subbed.

I recommend Dubbed for viewing with a few beers but Subbed for the real experience (dubbing messes up the sound effects and the translation on subs is nearly always more accurate to the HK original)

If you like this try:
Hard Boiled
Tiger on Beat
Bullet in the head
for affordable 'Gun-fu' action :):)
i bought this when it first came out, and its a lovely item.
anyone here collect steelbooks then (the name of this packaging).

i have around 160 at the moment, and growing all the time.
