This is 'one of those films' that has become a ritual in our house, at Christmas-time. All of my children love it too...
This has been released, today, in HMV(Haven't seen it anywhere else,But I'm sure someone will correct me!lol)

Christmas Story takes us back to the innocent Christmas times of 1940s American, a time when all a young boy wants for Christmas is a BB gun. Young Ralphie has his heart set on getting a genuine Red Ryder 200-shot Carbine Action Air Rifle for Christmas, but of course his parents want to buy him something far more sensible, constantly claiming "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!", but Ralphie won't be put off and sets out on a full scale offensive to make sure he gets a his treasured BB Gun for Christmas.

It doesn't state what 'region' it is.

Voted cold. I would not recomend ANY type of gun or let a child watch a DVD about pleading for one.

AN AMAZING FILM - I have wanted to see this again for years, our whole family cried with laughter when we watched it in 1983!!
I have ordered this and will get the whole family over to watch it together!!
As for the post regarding guns - if you watch this you will see it is a very wholesome family film with no bad language or anything like it. If you don't buy this you are missing a treat
Thanks a million

This movie comes second only to Muppet Xmas Carol in our house over the holidays. The kids love to watch it on xmas eve afternoon and for adults it reminds us of what xmas used to be like when we were kids.
Thoroughly recommended. :santa:

Just picked this up at TESCO for £3!
Very sparse - no extras or subtitles etc - but at least the ratio is better than my 4:3 region 1 version and the sound quality is improved also.
