I think this is the cut version. Looks like its 20 minutes shorter than the original.
And also why no English subs - only French ?

Can insure you this is the fully remastered and fully intended version by sergio leone. It infact is about 20 minutes longer than the edited edition.

Yes. They spruced up the Leone Spag Westerns. This is with additional footage rather then less footage.

That website has it wrong. Im holding my copy in my hand now and i can see this version is 2 hours and 30 minites long, which is 150 minutes. Not sure about this 162 version as IMDB has the longest cut of the film at 157 minutes. All i can say though is this is the closest to full version youll ever get on dvd.

Hmm... now remember films have different running times on NTSC and PAL due to the frame rates being different (30 and 25 respectively). One good thing about blu ray is that they are 24 frames per sec - the actual frame rate of cinema film.

I saw the then newfound Italian version of this at the NFT in 2000 and it was different from the version that came out on DVD when they put out the 5 Leone westerns out remastered. I also remember when those came out there was talk from the Spaghetti Western geeks that there were still missing scenes.

Can't remember what though!
