It is a good film - not the greatest sci fi but worth a watch

Its basically a science fiction version of pinoccio

That's what I thought the first time I saw it. Watching it a second time though I really appreciated the last 20 mins!! GREAT FILM!!!!

The teddy in it was the best actor ... so cute ... want it now!
#16

#17
Dreadful film - on par with the Mothman Prophecies and Alexander - my sister would love it though so thanks for posting!

It's a good sci-fi movie. Not the type of Die Hard/iRobot/Spiderman/Batman action movie and . But agree with B33fy - you either like it or not. What is most brilliant about the film is the casting of Haley Joel Osment as David. "The Sixth Sense" was no fluke; he is a fantastic actor.

Same category as 2001: Space Odessy - which I haven't yet watched but ordered through here on hd-dvd.

About the only film I dearly wish I'd walked out on. Felt like I must have been in the cinema at least 24hrs. It made Gone With The Wind feel like a short.

Even at 29p it'd be overpriced ... they really should be paying us to watch it!

I will break David'

Teddy: I think we're in a cage.
#21
love this film , made me cry :( , poor teddy

Painfully slow, over sentimental drivel. You can watch the last hour of this film on FastForward and it still seems slow.

[FONT=Arial]Even the acting of Hayley Joel Osment could not save this over-long, overrated sentimental bit of self indulgent tat! I wasn't planning to post, but the mention of this in the same breath as 2001 is a travesty. The two films just do not have anything in common other than the fact that both have actors in and last a long time :p

I won't bother suggesting that this is either hot or cold - I certainly wouldn't pay for it, but the debate about whether it's simply cheaper than anywhere else and thus 'Hot' is not one which needs starting again

You quite clearly failed to read my thread! I said it's in the same category as the viewers who like the movie or loathe it just like 2001.
