I've heard that the re-make is rubbish, probably reflected in the price :p

Gr8 film. how will a old film be converted to blue ray be worth it. rather stick to a dvd and upscale it.

Yep. I actually think it is more beneficial buying old films on blu-ray than new ones. The Dirty Harry bluray is a massive improvement over the DVD for example, yet something newer like say Inception which looks brilliant on bluray, looks pretty excellent too on DVD upscaled anyway.
