A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984): From modern horror master Wes Craven comes the classic shocker that remains the standard bearer for terror.

Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) is having grisly nightmares. Meanwhile, her high-school friends, who are having the very same dreams, are being slaughtered in their sleep by the hideous fiend of their shared nightmares. When the police ignore her explanation, she herself must confront the killer in his shadowy realm.

Featuring John Saxon with Johnny Depp in his first starring role and mind-bending special effects, this horror classic gave birth to one of the most infamous undead villains in cinematic history: Freddy Krueger...

A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010): Five teenage friends living on one street all dream of a sinister man with a disfigured face, a frightening voice and a gardener's glove with knives for fingers. One by one, he terrorizes them within their dreams - where the rules are his and the only way out is to wake up.

But when one among them dies, they soon realize that what happens in their dreams happens for real and the only way to stay alive is to stay awake. Buried in their past is a debt that has just come due. To save themselves, they must plunge into the mind of the most twisted nightmare of all: Freddy Krueger. Jackie Earle Haley plays the legendary evildoer in this contemporary reimagining of the seminal horror classic.

And I'll say it again in the hope someone doesn't post 'Shame, gone up to £12.19 now'....

It's a good price, but I've heard nothing good about the remake!

It appears to be a Marmite experience - but overall a favourable one

Nice price that, the original is 10x the better film tho

Only flicked through this movie but was gutted to see that Robert England wasn't cast to play Freddy as would have been good to keep him in rather than casting someone new

Fantastic price. The remake is utter trash but it's nice to have them both.

Reason why the new one is 'wrong' is Freddy is a full on pedo.

I cannot see how Freddy became an ICON if the new film is true to the orginal.
I wanted to make a Freddy hand for my GCSE Metalwork Exam!!! Not only it shows my age, but how many sequals would have been made, plus a TV series, if it was so.

Buy at your own risk. If your a Freddy fan.. Do. Not. Watch.The. New One.

Deffo will not see the argos Freddy costume for sale now.

I prefer the 1983 prequel:
"cheese before bedtime"
