Cheers OP, I bought the wrong type of 'learning computer' for my lad's birthday and was duly reprimanded by the wife... this should help remedy the error!

Age 5+ is a bit optimistic! I got one for my older lads 6th birthday in Nov and tested to make sure it works, there are wordgames such as anagrams and they are not the easiest either, such as bootkeon and sunuaul etc so would take a brainy 5 year old to suss them, build quality is however excellent as per the norm for oregon scientific.

Up to you what you do of course, but it does say it's for 5 years old and over, so I think a 3 year old would struggle with it.

And am I the only one that wants to keep his kids away from computers as long as I can? They've got plenty of time to be zombies in front of the bloody things, and chances are will spend their entire careers glued to them - the longer they play with toys, paints and plasticine the better.

i have the advanced one reserved at walton road liverpool one if anyone wants the reservation number. reserved to friday 8th. I reserved it for my niece but have picked something else instead
