Not a deal that suits me but can say we have stayed here 6 times and its a great hotel.

Price looks fab for those that can avail.
So I got 2 weeks in Spain in June [in the season] - paid 1200. If I'd get same standard on this hols [extra luggage, hal board etc] I'd pay 480 for 5 days. Which gives me around 1400 off season. It isn't good deal.
Try to upgrade to half board or all inclusive when you get there, not a lot will be open in.Malgrat del mar or Santa Susanna
Calella isn't far away, good shopping street and big beach.
Lloret de mar is the biggest resort in Costa Brava/Costa Maresme and also worth a visit as is Barcelona.

what does double / twin mean can you chose a double when you get there?

Lately most hotel rooms I've been to have 2 single beds that can be together as a double or separated as twin room

For when you inevitably fall out:
"I swear I didn't even notice that woman in the string bikini, I was straining to try and read the bar menu from across the pool..."

Its the greeks I feel sorry for, wheras Turkey with its "dubious" government is using it as a massive bargaining chip to get in the EU, ...the same country doing dirty deals with syria, the same country importing cheap dinghy's & fake life jackets & selling them through their folk in syria et al..
"migration" or flee-ing war with a large dollop of folk taking the p155 from other countries jumping on the band wagon, making it more chaotic...
Not to mention the rape, molestation et al within europe that was being damped down by other nations government in case they "upset" the refugee / asylum seekers & blaggers mix who steam rollered their way across europe last summer.
5 years to sort this mess out so far & no-one has stepped up to the plate in case they offend, all the while making it worse for EVERYONE involved & screwing up the reputation of the genuinely needy!
But yeah, great price, utilise it, get some sun, help the economy of poor little Kos, & perhaps, waken any children you might have to the problems of the world on their doorstep & actually preach to them till they hate you, (but understand) ...this stuff happens, how are you going to deal with it fairly & cost effectively without bankrupting a bunch of "rich" (on paper) countries!?
Heat, will suggest it to the wife!
Don't feel sorry for the Greeks
They've been bailed out various times and still no better
No one pays taxes and they all expect to retire at 50 from the support of the eu

I actually feel sorry for what ADDITIONAL problems they are encountering after their collective nation hit the floor, there is now means to recovery via the established economy.

Since the referendum when they were shafted (like we are being now with all sorts of EU threat tactics from the EU ((who are dodgey as hell too, like no sign off for accounts, massive financial black hole ...that's normal & hidden is it? so we have feeder society draining more & dictating more, whilst taking MORE))

Greece has come around to austerity, its people at the top DUPED everyone into allowing it into the EU, the EU saw another country to "control" & willingly took that dupe & ran with it! ...the EU are as much t blame in its still current clamour to swell its ranks regardless of state of readiness, ..this is the normal chaos !

Greece aint no peach, but they are back to being Eu#s b1tch in an arena of chaos that they are not willing to think straight & assist.

The EU is a damned liability, ..as are our "Best pals with business" Politicians in this country New Labour & Conservatives ,..I'm as afraid as hell of the outcome in either direction, ..wish I could get a free pass out, or bash some fences down to get to where I want.

Greece is a massive entry point, therefore EU assistance, be it guards & fences with controlled entry, prcessing & care "with a clear return policy" should have been sorted a long time ago, instead we watched as fences were torn down & questionable folk tramped through to central Europe ...whatever the past, & remember WE (EU) dictate to Greece, have utterly failed greece's recovery for the forseeable, which will burden them with even more debt & years in the hinterlands with less chance of getting back up, ...which'll make the world bank happy!

"kick a dog when it's down"

"... I'm as afraid as hell of the outcome in either direction, ..wish I could get a free pass out, or bash some fences down to get to where I want."
I'm not normally minded for posting to threads on hukd or anywhere for that matter (check my profile), but I'm definitely with you here! During my younger singleton days, I always thought that I'd leave if ever the Tories got in again! Alas, I'm older and married with children with all of trappings that brings!

On Thursday, I awoke on the sofa to the puffed-up sounds of a young Fraser Nelson lookalike banging on about the inevitability of UK citizens having to pay some sort of fee in addition to taxes for our health care!

They are a reseller of holidays. Reading the reviews, most of them are people complaining about the actual holiday / hotel service / transfers etc. They are all 3rd party.

Hmmm where's the holidays to Syria

In Tunisia they bring the Syria experience to you.
What you have to realise with Tunisia, is that you're a direct target as a Tourist.
Yes there has been IRA attacks and 7/7 but those people that died or were injured were not solely targeted.
You're chances of being involved in an attack increase way more in Tunisia and other countries.
I went there 10 years ago and stayed in port el cantaui (sorry if it's spelt wrong).
Best hotel (was only a 3 star), cleanest I've ever been, friendly staff, excellent food everywhere we went, great deals at the medina and locals seemed very westernised but still "exotic".
I fell in love with my wife there (she wasn't my wife back then).
What critics are describing sounds like Egypt to me.

My only other thought about Berlin is that people should realise it's liable to be absolutely baltic in January.......when we visited one April, the air temperature during the day was -3C but with a vicious wind coming all the way from Russia which gave a windchill feel of -9C oO

Also take lots of pocket hand sanitiser and use all the time, the money carries lots of bacteria too.
spot on

the money is truly filthy and the main source of infections

Sorry but I don't agree with this common myth/nonsense, most travelers to Egypt are all-inclusive and many never even touch the local currency!!

Food is most likely, also pools with swim up bars and the amount of hand-shaking with the nice staff.

I've stayed at 17 hotels in Sharm and don't really rate this one, food is good but it's on a tiny plot of land (look it up on Google Maps) - just hope the pools are heated and you tip the towel guy enough!!
AlwaysSealsTheDeal
Forget about the nonsense around hand sanitiser, you should be doing that kind of thing every day in the UK anyway! I've travelled twice to sharm, its great but It's currently unsafe to travel to Egypt. Sharm or otherwise.Fact.
what nonsense
mummytoharry2013
What would the weather be like then ?

gazzereth26
Take 2 stars off when travelling to Egypt. Take lots of tummy tablets and prepare for explosive diarrhoea.
If you can cope with Exorcist style vomiting and Niagara Falls toilet trips go for it.

You forgot anti government protests, attacks on tourists and a coup led self appointed military leader.

They also support Israel in the blockade of gaza.

Great country to visit.

does anyone actually think a 5 star hotel in Turkey is a 5 star hotel?

no the stars in Turkey r a bit weird. u need to knock off two to get a real rating.
Have stayed at this hotel last year.
We enjoyed it. Small and in the mountains, free buses to the coast,
Make sure you get a bungalow at check in. Food is average, but not bad,
Get a taxi to the local village and book your excursions with agents there.
Great price for this above average resort.Would go back.
Heat added.
Take a jumper and a jacket, actually take a few, cold in the evenings.

It is not a 5 star resort for me (went last year) but for that price it is pretty reasonable.

I really didn't like Morocco. It didn't matter where you went - up the highest hill or down into the lowest valley or even on the beach - wherever you went there was a greasy little man trying to flog you a damn carpet! There were beggars asking for money all the time, many of them young kids with disabilities. Everywhere you go it's constant pestering. Not a great place to holiday.
We went here years ago, but booked in through El Pueblo Tamlelt .As this is the same hotel, you just go in through a different entrance. The rooms are basic in this part but the food and drinks are all shared and are all fine for a weeks break.this is a great value holiday for a week, the beach is only a mins walk away and the weather is great in the day, just gets cooler after 6pm.I would go again but have already booked this years holiday break. The price is very good value. Tip. Just give the staff a tip (£) and you will be well treated.
We actually had a week in this hotel two years ago. The Caribbean Village is actually an ok complex with loads to do. It's close to it's own private beach although there's several pools and plenty to do in the complex. The food was actually very good, no poorly tummies! We went in August and ended up with a ten year old with heat exhaustion so now may not be a bed time to visit plus in the summer they suffer with heavy sea mists which sometimes don't burn off until the afternoon. I could get the time off work I'd jump at this price!
Cold ...it sounds like a terrible resort these days on tripadvisor. Hundreds of 'poor' and 'terrible' ratings.
Smoking hot ;)

People moaning about being ripped off price wise in tourist places in Turkey - have you ever visited a shop near Buckingham Palace and checked the price of a mug that has the Queen's photo on it???! Tourists are ripped off in everywhere - even in Spain, Greece, Britain and Turkey.

And for not taking your daughters with you and all that comments - how quickly we have forgotten the riots here? Sometimes we should stop blaming others all the time.

I think you have missed the argument people are saying. Tthere is a big differance between a riot and being sexually assaulted. To be honest it isnt the same at all. Statistcily, males are the major peveotrates in a riot, not women. So how you can make that remark, is just plain simply stupid to compare the two.
Being male, I dont really know. All I can advise to anyone, be it male or female. If you aint comfortable on your own, then either dont go or get comapny. Atleast that way your be safe.

I know a girl, who got raped in club's toilet around London, and I'm sure she's not the only one. But it's not ok to say "don't go clubbin in London, they'll rape you". Innocent people got killed by army of thugs while police watching. Turkey is safe to travel, at least police is armed and will protect you when needed, nothing like we've got in here.

Yes the Police there do have more muscle than our laughable force. Atleast they actually are a pressence that do somethink. I can say system has let me down, when i have drunk far to mutch, and got assualted, and I had a medical problem.
Ive been uneasy about going on my own, thou what the hell, i need some fun and a life.
