The link to the deal is

Adding directly from the 7dayshop website has played havoc.
Sorry.

Mods, Thanks for updating the link.

This charger has been this price for the past 2 years (when I bought one). Works pretty well with my "Good-to-Go" also from 7dayshop. The discharge function can take a very long time if your batteries contain a lot of charge. But top-up charge is quick and full charge from empty to full takes about 3 hours. Hasn't let me down so far and I use it at least once a week for 2 years.

Got this one also 2 years ago; price-wise a bargain alternative to Powerex/Maha unit (see MAPLIN: http://www.maplin.co.uk/mh-c800s-8-cell-battery-charger-with-lcd-display-for-aa-aaa-cells-262165 )

Although after approx 8 month two slots failed, the unit got quickly replaced by 7dayshop with no problem whatsoever and it works flawlessly since

Re: slow discharge function
most if not all proper battery charges (£40+) discharge batteries twice as slow as charge so I reckon that's good thing and correct approach

My rough guess would be that this one charges at 700mA while discharget at 350mA.
Tested on Energizer, Tesco, Maplin, Medion, Duracell any many other brands as well as on Uniross ready-to-go type of NiMH batteries and the charger did deliver.

This is an excellent charger for the money, I've used mine extensively for around 2 years and not got a bad word to say about it. Charges quickly but without cooking your cells, and you can mix AA and AAAs at the same time.
