Receive the following with Lloyds TSB Gold Current Account
AA Breakdown cover
Phone insurance - includes Theft, damage and lost phones & all models
Worldwide travel Insurance

All for £7.95 a month for the first two months then £12 per month thereafter

If you take out a joint account both you and your partner are covered for all the above and it costs no more money, pay the same for one or two people!

I currently have this card and is a great saving compared to paying for all the above for two people!

I think the halifax added benefits account is better for this level of cover. The Lloyds premier account is good, but dont think the gold competes with halifax.

Edit: Halifax is £12.50 pm but you get £5 back every month you pay in over £1k so works out at £7.50 pm and you get home emergency cover included
Having both Halifax and Lloyds accounts...

Just go with Lloyds, the halifax are scraping the barrel in terms of support. As they say, you get what you pay for.

Definately agreed on customer service and their overdraft charges are beyond a joke. Just if your looking for most benefits at lowest cost then thats the one.
I hate these deals that try and tempt you buy at £7.95 and then hike it up to £12 after only 2 months:x Maybe £12 should be in the title somewhere
This is an abysmal deal

abysmal deal? please explain why its so bad for two people for only £12? Just curious of the better deal you know of?

I agree that it speaks wonders but I was asking what you foind that was better and why you felt it was abysmal?
I've recently upgraded to a Lloyds TSB silver account after years of thinking I should not have to pay for a current account.

I had to pay £3 for first 2 months then goes up to £7.95 per month, but when me and hubby got new phones, we're better off to pay for cover through bank account, with all added benefits than pay for separate cover through mobile phone provider (cover not quite as good, but adequate)

Thought worth mentioning as well, for no extra cost I also added Vantage to my account which when I switched was paying 4% on balances between £5000 and £7000. This was way better than I could get from a savings account, and if you keep that amount in there the interest pays for the account fee and then some.:-D
