I think this is a good deal - only if you get the quidco of course & AA has good feedback from quidco users.
http://www.quidco.com
while basic breakdown cover (c£12 at the lowest) will simply tow you to the nearest garage, this cover combo will either tow you home or if you are on a journey somewhere arrange a hire car for up to 3 days.
this all comes to £104.25 and quidco will give you £50 on transactions over £100 so if you can wait three months the total cost would be £54.25

For many people basic cover should be enough - but if you travel a lot far from home I think this is a good deal - basically the full AA package except home start for £54

Roadside: this is the minimum level of cover and provides roadside assistance in the UK, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Relay: national recovery to a UK mainland destination of your choice, if we're unable to fix your car at the roadside or arrange a prompt local repair.

Stay Mobile: if you've broken down and we can't arrange a prompt local repair, Stay Mobile provides alternative travel arrangements.

This is a very good price and I am sorely tempted. But it is not a done deal if Quidco are so hit and miss. I am sure there is no come back if they don't pay up and the AA still get you for a year; unless there is a clause that allows you to cancel.

I've never used this quidco and ive seen a lot of people complain about it.
Does anybody know any other good RAC/AA etc breakdown cover deals?
Just got my insurance quote thru n they're trying to charge me £130 for breakdown cover which i think seems a bit steep?

I signed up through quidco in november and got my cashback with no problems

Did a big trawl earlier this month and AA via Quidco came out best by a stretch. Tracked via Quidco within an hour and due for payment soon. So I would recommend it.

If you havent signed up to Quidco or similar, youre missing out on cashback - £365 this year alone.:)

I had an offer come through from Ford. I can get 75% off AA cover.

The deal you quoted for the Roadside, Relay and Stay Mobile is £34 on my price list.

I dont know whether this is just a deal for me though as i bought a brand new Fiesta last April?

thanks just what I needed.

I signed up a while ago and didnt get the full amount tracked via quidco.

Cancelled the policy within 14 days for which they charged me £14 or something similar. Then got the £20 odd quid paid by quidco too!
#15
does it work if you pay monthly?

Why Expired?

I took out Roadside for £29.50.

Got paid £25 from topcashback.co.uk.

Cost: £4.50.

My Mother-in-Law got a letter through asking her if she wanted to add Relay for £10 extra for the year. *(Edited)

I phoned up, asked about the offer, and they just put it on.

Total cost for Relay and Roadside: £14.50

Shouldn't that be (12x £10) + £4.50?

It said on the quidco site that it tracks at the £20 rate but pays at the full rate, which is exactly what it did for me.

Sorry.

I didn't mean £10 a month.

I meant £10 for the remainder of the policy (Feb-Feb)
