Am I missing something here, as Basic Cover is only £28 when you follow the link on Quidco? Thus only £7 after cashback???
#5
Sorry - cold from me. £28 on AA and £19.19 via Topcashback = £8.81.

Could I suggest you put via Quidco in the title OP please? (_;)

As far as I can tell, you get £21 cashback on any policy up to £75, and if you follow the main Quidco link, membership rates start at £28, not £30 as shown here... Thus £7 for a year seems good to me and cheaper than TCB offer.

Then the OP needs to edit the price to £28. Get what you mean but just saying £8.81 is cheaper than £9 as far as I'm aware. If you're gonna do it. do it right.....as George says.

You can - barky means the "go to deal" bit about the price, not actual description in main title. Just press edit and you can add via Quidco, but then you know that already. Just thought title at £9 looks as bit odd (_;)

Cold as this is a bump of a well known deal. As others have pointed out, better offers out there elsewhere.

Anything on warranties?

I did this deal a couple years back, got the quidco, so supposedly had cheap AA. However, when the paperwork arrived it said that cars over 9 years old weren't covered, and of course my car was 10 years old, which they should have known from the registration number. Luckily I never had to call them in an emergency. So come renewal time I explained how I felt ripped off and told them I was not going to buy any more illusory services from them. I'm still getting the junk mail- there is no way to stop them sending it. I have even complained to trading standards about the fake cover.

Watch out if you pay by credit card incidentally. They will automatically renew you and take the next year's payment unless you go out of your way to tell them not to.

Isn't this only for repair costs/parts ? I am sure they will fix your car no matter how old it is

Where only Roadside Assistance is held, the vehicle must be no more than 10 years old at the date of registration with the AA.

I have the Joint cover for me and my wife with relay service, dont bother with the home start bit.
They quoted me renewal price of £148!!!!, rang them as usual to say dont want it renewing. then went through quidco, took out the SAME policy for £101 with then pays quidco of £50. So will end up getting the same policy as before for nearly £100 less than the renewal price!!!!!!.
One of my old cars was a 14 yr old vectra 'P'reg that i had to call them out to once to look at a brake problem...no problems with the car being over 10 years old!!!.
Also have been doing this now for about 3 or 4 years and never had a problem with getting the cashback.

Cold from me as I have found out this afternoon that my quidco for the AA taken out in August last year has just been declined after previously showing as successful in my Quidco balance!

COLD COLD COLD

#21
Quidco paid me for this deal over a year ago - I'm not going to bother renewing though!

Different policy. You are covered on a per person basis, which is the traditional AA cover. The policy that is limited to cars less than 10 years old only covers a particular car, which is a new kind of deal the AA has only been doing for about three or four years.
#23
Do please read the small print as you are not covered for IMPACT DAMAGE ie pot hole damage breakdown (When the car can not be driven due to suspension/ coil damage) to ANY form of accident.
They will charge you £110 to take the car to a local garage.

Seems a good deal at 1st glance if Quidco pay up!.......but I'm not keen on the AA automatically assuming that I wish to renew the following year & taking payment for that at renewal date, unless I cancel. A lot of companies seem to have this approach which I think is really cheeky....afterall I think it's necessary to shop around these day so automatic renewal can be a real pain.

Thanks for the info, saving my money instead of wasting it!

AA are rubbish they wanted £249 off me for the renewal on my breakdown cover, I have never had a call out and I have a new car, they thought I wouldn't bother to question it as it was an automatic renewal. Got exactly the same cover from Direct line for £54 so voted cold
