AA Duracell Voyager Torch £1.00 in store @Asda

I was in the Asda down on the Isle of dogs (London E14) and noticed they had these torches on offer for a pound. It is a well made rubberised torch designed for outdoor use with a Xenon bulb, so a bit brighter than a normal torch and comes with 2 AA batteries.
They also had another model for the same price next to it, I think it was called a focus grip.
They had a yellow shelf edge label with the price on, so I think it is nationwide.

I was robbed! I got this a few months ago for £2, would have paid more as it is certainly worth it. They had them at the till, it was in an Asda Living in Glasgow. It is a very good torch, I would probably have bought more if they were only £1, damn!

Decent torch but the latest LED torches are more powerful and last longer. This type fade pretty fast as the battery loses power. Worth paying extra for a torch with a Cree LED. Pity the supermarkets dont seem to be selling them yet...

agreed i buy my cree digitally regulated led torches from dealextreme

MEGA bright......make maglites look pathetic....have the uniquefire which is about the size of the smallest magalite - about 9cm long - rated at 220 lumens - amazingly runs off 1 aa battery or digitally regulated lithum ones - but lights up my back garden almost as much as my outside 300w spotlight....cost a bargain $12 delivered

also have the mte3-2 which is even brighter and runs off 1slightly larger than aa sized lithium digitally regulated aa battery - rated at 700 lumens and is about 15cm long - seems about as bright as a car headlight i guess but it is amazingly bright - beam supposedly can spot up to 1800 metres - cost a bargain $37 delivered

you must not shine these directly in people eyes - can temp blind

build quality is imo as good if not better than maglite level
