i can remember quite clearly driving home in one of our bad weather episodes and just see people sliding and falling over of which some were heavy falls, now i know the first thing that comes to mind is to laugh but it hurts as i've done myself. so for under £3 these are worth it.

Good in an emergency but not a practical long term device. Well worth that price though.

Northface Chilkat II boots are probably the best all rounder, but they are not £2.76 :)

Completely waterproof and you can virtually run on ice - (as demonstrated on the gadget show last year)

Getting them under £70 is the trick
