Aasani Assorted Crisps 12 X 25G £0.89 @ Tesco

At 7.5p per pack, I thought I'd give these Indian crisps a try. My kids love these new exotic flavours! Loads at Tesco Hammersmith the other day.

Not what it seems...I believe it's a Tesco own-label made to look Indian...because obviously there aren't any Indian food brands that they could sell.

Hey good info, thanks frogman, I didn't know that. Thought it was a bargain at under 10p a pack so I'm happy

I'm sure it is still a deal...just wanted to give you a heads-up on the new Tesco range...looks like there may be other bargains to be had as the new brand is rolled out. I was in west London where they had the crisps by the front door but without a price or any signage. Manager didn't even know they were there...

My local Tesco sells many ethnic brands, in fact it has three isles dedicated to them, but like everything else they will try and cash in on the popularity of those foods as every other supermarket has in the past with everything from pizza's to nacho's to chinese takeaway.
