Missed the book offer

I have just checked Riverford although they have a variety there is more at A&C. The Delivery is free with Riverford and 99p with A&C.

I have ordered with A&C for few years now.
If you received veg or fruit that was not good you should have contacted customer services they would have arranged for it to be replaced. I have a very different experience of Abel &Cole their products are very good quality and their meat is exceptional. This is a good offer voting hot hot hot!!

Lovely idea Able And Cole, however I cancelled ours after three deliveries of haggard and old veg.

Always found A&C too expensive for what they offer and so have never tried them out.

Have no idea which part of the country that you're in but have a look at Riverford. We've been having the F&V delivered by them for the last 7 years and we've never had a carp delivery. The organic equivalent from a supermarket costs more too, at least when I've checked it.

Whole pheasants only £3.39 each plus 99p delivery (min order £10) @ Abel & Cole

Brilliant price for pheasants (at least in London). The 99p delivery charge is per order; not per bird. The best price I can find elsewhere is around £5. Abel & Cole tend to be extortionately expensiv…

ordered, thanks. I assume these have bullets in em?

We just drive onto the verge, bowl them over with the car and then jump out and chuck them in the boot.
Probably not an option in central London though.

Works well with traffic wardens though. As well as a standard gutting knife you'll need a bowl of Dettol and a wire brush for proper preparation. They need a bit longer in the pot, and of course Calvados is completely wasted on them. Best eaten with relish.

Yes, these 'organic veg boxes' usually are ridiculously overpriced. Far better to buy what you need when you need it. Go organic if you want but it has now been shown to have no benefits.
Wow these guys are really expensive.:(

only my first post guys, why do noob posts always end up in deep freeze... . The point here is not to compare to Aldi as this is locally sourced organic fruit and veg.

Botton line is, are the boxes worth £16 a week? Obviously not if your fruit n veg spend is 29p + 49p a week but for those who already spend that much at fresh and wild, whole foods etc, this could be a convenient option with a £50 bonus. Worth trying for a couple of months, fresh Organic fruit and veg definitely tastes better than typical supermarket produce.

Have you tried it I have and I was not impressed. Not voted. Please don't take the cold votes to heart.

with all the vegetable deals in lidl for £0.29 and fruit deals in aldi for £0.49 i doubt it is a good deal

Not a bad deal though. Hot

Haven't looked into this, but seems like a good deal.

Till you see how small the boxes are. Not voted
Bit misleading saying cashback as that normally means money in your pocket, whereas this is credit to be used on future abel and cole purchases.

EDIT: Now much clearer in original post/title :)

Still good though, £50 worth of fruit and veg free

I still got 2 items from my dont like list
Well that's a shame. Did you have a very long list, did you add things to it after the order deadline, or did they mess up?
hardly reduced food waste when they ended up in the bin
Of course not - and it wouldn't have happened had there not been a failure in the system somewhere.
I didnt even know what one of the items was as they dont send a list of what you are receiving :?
They do - it's on the "newsletter" you get with each order, as well as on the website. And with the more obscure stuff they tend to provide an explanation on the newsletter; if not, the website should have instructions and recipes galore.

You can specify anything as a "don't like" and they won't supply it. But with veg boxes you're expected to be in the organic spirit and have some flexibility, to reduce the waste that occurs when food is forced out of season.

Subject to availability

this puts me off as they might only have 5 £50 credits which you wont find out until you have stumped up £60 minimum

ordered before anyway so no good to me

does this have to be four orders of their boxes or any order with customized shopping items exceeding 15....I have placed an order but am now in doubt as I did not select one of their boxes
Email or call and ask them - they're very responsive and you're guaranteed an accurate answer rather than asking on here.

This is still on until 17th October and it's open to existing customers too.
Had the free-range duck delivered the other day. The bird was on the small side and, in all fairness, I probably wouldn't have ordered had there not been an offer of the free fruit & veg box. Top roast, however, and the fruit and veg were tasty too.

Any chance someone could send me a link to the page detailing the offer please?
The only offer I receivedwhen I registered was 4 boxes for the price of 3.
Thanks.
the expiry on the other post is 17th October
So it was a September offer. No longer valid.

I don't know why this has been voted cold. £16 of groceries free when you spend £25. I know the food is more expensive but it is much better quality than the usual stuff.

It's because it was posted as a freebie.......some people on here will just vote cold without explaining

Mine didn't track either - £14.91. And too late to cancel as it is being prepared.

It goes to show that cashback cannot and should not be relied upon to make a deal.
Quidco pulled, offer now expired
We use another scheme called River Swale, farm fresh and local. We had a great day out with our daughter at their open day last weekend. Was reassuring to see where the veg comes from.

Quality is always good, fresh and last longer than supermarkets as it comes to you direct from the farm and not through a lengthy supply chain.
My Quidco tracked in a couple of hours after placing the order. You all should raise queries.
I spent £14.91 but quidco didn't track :(
