Maybe hurt is the wrong word but the 'shock' is most unpleasant.

Yes they do work but you need to be doing sit-ups, weight-training and cardio in addition to using this. If you have a lot of fat around your abdomen you will not see an improvement.

These ab-belts aid abdomen muscle development but unfortunately, most people see them as miracle belts (partly due to suspect advertising).

I got the abgymnic around 10 years ago (gift) and it isn't good.

True...

These things do work to trigger muscle contractions.

However - even if you used one long enough to develop the perfect six pack - no one will see it under a beer gut.

If you have very low body fat and never exercise - this will give you defined stomach muscles.

But rather than being jolted about by electrical impulses, I guess most people would just opt for the traditional way.

They are however, really a good laugh to experiment with and other EMS machines are beneficial for exercising injuries without placing a load on the muscle. The British Army uses machines made by Bodi-Tek for this.

Other more expensive versions made by Compex are used by profession atheletes too.

How many billions of pounds every year do you reckon fatties waste on crud like this? Just stop eating garbage and get some exercise you chubsters!
#17
When used in conjunction with 500 situps per day and 2 hours of free weight exercises coached by a professional fitness instructor per day, 10 miles of road running per day, 1 hour of intensive swimming and a diet completely free of fat, these may result in a well toned abdomen after a couple of years.

Actually they do work... I'm not a fatso and I do gym a couple of times a day (now) but i have used these before and the results are better than from the slendertone belts... more painful... but the muscle contraction is stronger. As has been said..If you have a bit of a gut then they are pointless... but so is any abs workout in that state. They do wear out quite quickly though and when tehy do... they just plain electrocute!!

Its partly thanks to this device that I now have a body that is irresistable to women and the envy of mankind. Oh yes... My bed will never be empty again. Weep people... because you will never know the wonder that is I.

Cower before my huge muscles... bow before the might of me!!!! Kneel I say! Kneel!!!!!

Can get them cheaper on ebay though. :)
