AC Adaptor for Sony MP3 £6.99 @ Argos

AC Adaptor for Sony MP3 Walkman Players PLUS any other device which takes power/charges up from the USB Port.

Was £19:99 - and still is in the usual expensive Sony Centres!

Amazon have it for a reduced £9:99.

Argos reduced it to £9:99 a while ago. I have been watching, and waiting for another drop (as these are not going to be mainstream products). Low and behold it is now £6:99 and I have jumped in.

SONY quality item for cheap tat price - Win, Win, Win I say!

Dip Yer Bread! ;-)

All because it say's Sony on it, doesn't mean its quality. i had a PS2 catch FIRE and a sony minidisc play (present) that stopped charging after only 3 months. So thats put me right of paying over the odds for any sony product.

Great value, voted hot, but no good for the current crop of Sony players - they charge through the Sony specific WM port.

anyone know if this is supported by the NWA-1000 model ?

For my 16gb Sony MP3 with OLED screen it lists this as the charger on the sony site, my MP3 only came out in Feb.... Which ones are you reffering to?

This is just what I need for my mp3, whenever I need to charge I can never find the usb lead as it blends into all the other untold leads around the house. This will be harder to misplace.

There is a cable in the pack which has a USB one end and the WM 22 way port on the other.

This cable packs away neatly in the unit.

Of course, it will also charge stuff like Sat Navs and stuff instead of through the PC via the USB Port.

Will this charge anything via USB? I ask because I have a sony mp3 charger older than this that has a USB port and it won't charge my Sansa clip, my PS3 controller or my Ebook. I could really do with something that charges my PS3 controllers without having the PS3 on and this looks really nice.

in the USB socket there are two pins that can supply a positve voltage, most things USB powered uses one of the pins, Sony being awkward as usual use the other one on their mp3 players, many usb chargers (not all) wont work on a sony walkman as the manufactures dont wire both up as in a PC, just the most commonly used pin, also the other way round some sony chargers wont power other equipment. I cant comment on this one as I havent picked it up yet. Heat added

Really good advice... Can you put us all to a different brand charger that will charge Sony MP3 players... (Propietary port)

Im confused? I bought one of these from ebay (item no 220573500637) about 2 years ago for my Sony MP3 and its worked faultlessly - 99p with free delivery!

Seems to do exactly the same job!?

Edited By: futura on Sep 12, 2010 10:37: you withheld link for some unklnown reason

..... although if you dont have the usb lead that originally came with your sony MP3 you will also need one of these (ebay item no 200513038876), £2.54 delivered. Still, combined with the above item it works out a lot cheaper than £6.99

I would be very concerned about a 99p AC Adaptor, personally.

The extra £6 - to my mind - is peace of mind ..

Use an ipod thingy n plug the usb into that.

It's the only way my sony bluetooth mp3 will charge AND play.

Utter rubbish. There are only 4 pins on a USB connector, two for data, two for power. There's no option to connect one pin and not another.

'Current selling price valid until 21/01/2011' that mean it should be 6.99 until then?
I can wait then hopefully if some more stock comes around >.
