Just want to thank everyone that came

those that came saw a great game - a 4-0 win for accrington - some great goals from francis jeffers

the atmosphere was great and now the survival race is really heated up with the results from tuesday drawing in more teams to the bottom few teams

Good if you support one of the two clubs, otherwise it's just a massive waste of £5. It would just be watching football for the sake of watching football, not to enjoy a quality match as a neutral.

There are too many football clubs with serious financial difficulties, take Lincoln City for example, easily a bigger club than Accrington, but they are almost definitely going to go into admin and disappear.
Fortunately football isn't important.
I'm working on the principle that you are a troll so I will keep my reply restrained. An entertaining football match is one played by two well matched teams who are both giving their all. You can see this on your local park just as readily as in the Premier League, or at any level in between.

There is a whole generation now who don't remember football pre-Sky. No it wasn't all great in the old days but at least the money got shared out a bit more equitably and it went down fairly smoothly as you went down the leagues. There are all these massive financial cliffs to fall off now and that's why so many teams are in money trouble. There aren't any more clubs now than there have been previously. What we have is more clubs trying to clamber up that cliff and spending too much to do it. And for that I blame the Premier League.

Hey look, I did write "quality" football and not "entertaining" football, there is a difference I believe. Yes I think that any football match can, or can not in any case, be entertaining. This could be said for any sport actually. But, if I were to go and watch League 2 football as a neutral, I would not expect to see top quality football, I think that is fair to say. It is one thing to go and watch a poor quality football match, entertaining or not, as a supporter of one of the teams, but I would certainly not bother if I were a neutral.

As for the discussion on the financial state of football in this country, did I not just say that there are a large number of football clubs in this country with serious financial problems? And you have just elaborated on that point, so I don't see why you're trying to argue with me. I'll point out that I didn't lay blame on anyone for this financial situation in my short post, suffice to say, it has been made incredibly difficult for clubs to survive in the lower leagues, and almost impossible for clubs to move up through the lower leagues unless they are bankrolled. This is partly to do with how football has moved forward in modern times (as you have pointed out) and also partly to do with the criminal miss-management of a large number of clubs.

I will still stick by what I said before though, none of it matters because football isn't important, in any way, no matter what anyone says. Civilization will go on without football, don't worry.

Good luck to both teams. Son plays for AFC so hope they win. But Hope Accrington stay up though. These teams keep the passion of football alive. I know 1st hand how much these next games means to these teams.

Come on Acrington, you can beat the Wimbledon franchise who actually play in Kingston and not Wimbledon, they even nicked the the Kingstonian FC grond. No I'm not a MK Dons fan (they're also a franchise) but I don't like Wimbledon as they're hypocrites.Hot deal as the tickets are cheap.
Moron, you can't even post using your own id, and learn to spell. Well done Accrington, I'll be there weather permitting.

Thanks for spell checking, I've changed the ones I could spot, so if you could check again and let me know if there are anymore I'd be grateful. I know I got hypocrites and franchise right though. Maybe see you next season in the Conference? Up the Hatters.
Unfortunately - Match has been called off due to the weather :(
