Lol. of course it's not.

seems like someone is working their way through argos and posting every random thing they encounter, already seen 4 watches/clocks from argos, not really that good a deal.

I had an Acctim auto-set clock before. It was 7 minutes out of sync with national UK time and it was EXTREMELY annoying because you couldn't adjust it. Threw it in the bin and bought a £3 radio alarm clock that I posted on here before and it is so so much better. Avoid the gimmicky auto-set feature, it's only good if you get power cuts a lot and don't mind not being able to adjust the clock to the correct time.

You may have got a faulty one or the clock may possibly not have been in the right spot to receive further signals. They update every so often depending on the model - my Acctim updates every 2 hours. They can be fussy about where they are placed. They don't pick up the signal when near to speakers, for instance. When i first got the clock it set to the wrong time and i reset it to pick up the signal again, after which it displayed the time correctly and has been second perfect ever since. They are not the most stylish of designed clocks though.

This one is a load of junk.

Had one that constantly 'crashed'. Too complicated for my simple countryfied (ex) girlfriend to figure out, and it died after three months.

Completely and utterly died. Wasn't even spectacular, more like the kind of relief you get when a suffering dog finally snuffs it.

Aye - looks like somebody spent the early hours browsing the Argos website for 'bargains' - every other thread seems to be from there at the moment! Think we have an Argos representative posting them all?

:)

I bought the other Acctim weather station clock that was on here yesterday from Argos. What a piece of ****. It is going back today. Even though it was also radio controlled the time was out by one minute an hour and when resetting the clock it refused to set the time itself. That's despite it being right next to my older battery radio control clock. It was also very bright at night. I'd avoid Acctim clocks if I were you. Voted Cold.

Nothing like a cheap alarm clock/radio to keep you awake with a constant mains hum noise. Will pass on this one.

I have 2 of these. They are not set by radio control, just battery back up incase of power cut. They do have a facility to keep with changes at brittish summer time. Good visability but alarm hard to work.

so do you have to put the time in or is simply plug in and the time is displayed? Ie do you have to set the time

is the radio any good?

This is a really naff piece of kit. I know why Argos are selling them off cheap, due to people who have bought them and then returned them. The problem is that the light rather than being a dim background glow as you would expect and want it is light a floodlight, and illuminated the whole room. Had a good laugh when I first got mine. Now relegated to the spare bedroom. Would suggest this is far from a HotUK deal !!

Ah yeah I've got one of these. Even on "dim" it illuminates my whole room! I'm only using it to get my money's worth. Won't be buying one again.

They aren't radio signals.... Just hardwired in to it and you can't adjust it....
