I was looking for a decent sports type watch to wear for going out and came across this Accurist one. Water resistant and tells the date as well, decent manufacturer at a very good price delivered.

Exactly how many people wear such a watch in 30m of water, let alone 100m? It's hardly relevant.

It says 100M on the face - i'd go with that, Amazon's descriptions are really just a flavour ;-)

Lots of people who swim or dive will need a watch rated for 100M (Swimming/Snorkling) or
200M (Scuba Diving). It's not just the depth, sudden movement underwater effects the watch
too, and can cause leaks well above the rated depth.

I have the black dial version of this and it is 100 metres, remember that the rating is static pressure. When you are pushing your arms into the water to swim etc then this increases the pressure around the watch.

The Accurist watch posted by Clipper http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/accurist-gents-sports-chronograph-watch-ebay-argos-outlet-24-98-inc-delivery/864016
is a smart looker it's a shame there is no calender date display. For practical use the (MB804N) is handy if you've had a night on the beer and can't remember what day it is!

There are loads of bloody picky nutters here - Why would someone dive down to a depth of 30 meters or more and then check the time? I have a simple solutions guys - if you don't like it DON'T BLOODY BUY IT. Jesus get a grip.

And lets be honest...if a diver who regularly dived at depths wanted a watch, he wouldnt really be looking to cheap out on a reduced watch from Argos would he?? - he'd get a proper divers watch.

Personally, i just think its enough to say its waterproof really, cos 99.999999% of people who buy a watch will NEVER EVER dive with it under 50m lets be totally honest here!!......if anything the deepest they will go is about 3 foot under at ther swimming baths..and even then theyd have already taken it off in the changing room!! haha

Its that colour because its a rolex submariner wannabe http://www.topsalewatches.com/1375-2521-home/red-blue-bezel-men.jpg

As good as it is I think you would be better going for one of the casio 200m watches for £10 more

more to do with using the watch for diving, this is the reasoning behind the red for the first 15-20 mins of the bezel.

The seiko looks like a decent watch there.
