Yes and its better than the R4i for the DSi`s. And at this price I ordered one and cancelled my order for an R4i card.

What do you do with this on the DSi?

This allows you to put all your games on one microSD card which you can insert into the Acekard which then works as every other Nintendo game. The only difference is that it's not actually a game, it gives you an interface where you can choose the games you copied onto the card.

The main idea behind these card is that you don't have to carry all your game cartridges around.

Walk the plank matey!

BTW, does the the Acekard support 2GB MicroSD cards or only 4GB+ SDHC MicroSD cards? :w00t:
#18
CAn confirm the ones from the hanger.com work friend bought one few weeks ago and it works fine also had telephone support
#19
Rather than download the Acekard Firmware and Boot from their website I recommend you download the AKAIO loader instead (Works with latest releases) I also recommend that you download the panasonic SD Formatter (Free) to format your SD cards with (The increase in speed is incredible).

And yes there is no size limit on the card memory.

I buy my Acekard 2 cards from DealExtreme and never have a problem. Be wary of cards with slightly different names as these are generally copies...most work the same but some run different bootloaders and firmware.

I had thd same experience. Suggest you log into Focalprice and check your messages page. They don't email you, they only post messages on their own site. They took my payment immediately but then posted a message on their site a week later about waiting for stock - all items were unshipped. Have finally got a refund from Paypal but only after filing a complaint.

Focal Price do email you when the item has been shipped. Delivery is usually 10-21 days.

FocalPrice is based in China so I'm guessing it'll take 2-4 weeks.

I've had Acekard 2's from focal price. Still working a year later.
#24
Their forums seem to be awash with people complaining about slow delivery.

Sorry but if you order something in OCTOBER and they still cannot deliver in time for xmas, for me the company isn't worth using.

Great price......if you can get it.
#25
I'm pretty sure the Acekard from DealExtreme is DSi compatible/ 2/2i version. And that's only $11.08 (£6.92)

Can't seem to find it, can you provide a link?
#34
Acekard2i is a good choice if your after this type of card. With the correct updates it works fine on DS and DSi..... even if your console has updated itself to the 1.4e firmware..... which has been the downfall of some of the R4 / R4i 'clones'.

The price seems very good to me as well.

If your DSi is running 1.4E then you need to upgrade the firmware on your DSlite and then it should work in the DSi.

So... how do you do this?

Well, firstly you need to get ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds

It's the 3rd link here
http://www.gadgetgear.co.uk/wiki/index.php/NDS:AK2i

Then you need to follow these instructions:

http://www.xpertron.co.uk/setup-guide-update-acekard2i-firmware-dsi-14.html

If you can't be bothered to read it, it's about this simple:

Take the zip file. Unzip it all to your MicroSD card that already has the Acekard software (You did download that from the acekard site didn't you?)

Run the Acekard on a DS LITE. You'll see a file that says something about "upgrade firmware".

Run it. DO NOT TURN YOUR DS LITE OFF.

Put said card in DSi.

I'll be honest, it's just as well my OH has a DS Lite otherwise I would have been screwed.

Just received my AceKard DSi. I didn't realize my hubby had updated the firmware on my new DSi when we got it so the card wouldn't work. After hours of frustration I got it work by using hubby's DS. I had to add the 1.4 Dsi folder and update through his. Would have been lost if we didn't have the DS still. What a headache though! Follow the last post for instructions on how to do. Wish I had seen it a few hours ago instead of having to trawl through a million webpages to find this out.

Ordered this from Focalprice on the 20 december, they shipped it on the 23rd december, and i still haven't received it yet!! 2 and half weeks and counting..

Only ordered from them as DX have stopped selling it, however the DX one only took about a week delivery from when it was shipped.

R4i Gold is just as good for those who do not want to risk buying the AceKard 2i from this site.

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_15&products_id=106794

they also sell the acekardi 2i. but much more expensive.

Ive tried canceling my order with these guys but am gettin a msg sayin unable to accept msgs and it wont let me validate my email even tho the link is sent from them. Seems abit fishy to me.
