I got one of these from PC World for £110 after a post on here.
Not very robust, no DVI, otherwise it does the job fine.
Should get the Dell 23" tomorrow and I better see a marked difference or....
#2
anyone have this? good? bad? is the the same that was posted today from play?
#3
You will see a good difference with the Dell screen for sure. I have a Dell Ultra Sharp and it is brilliant
#4
slightly different from the one you posted on play. The only difference being the one from play has DVI and this one only has DSUB but it is like £40 cheaper ;-D

The price will not be beaten, dont know if you can get quidco as well, prob not but worth a try
#5
bargain
#6
No Quidco with Insight AFAIK

i use this screen for design work and the colours are great.

It's plus VAT?

#11
If you're looking for one with DVI, I got this one ACER P223WWD from BT shop at £97.85
Excellent picture just the glossy white might put people off.

pants monitor its ok for those stuck in the dark ages with old PC's but those of us that have new macines and graphics cards its pretty rubbish no DVI so either use adaptors or your out of luck vga isnt used now only on old graphics cards or onboard you would be better spending the extra and keeping up with the times.

It doesn't make THAT much difference, it's the same as using consoles/DVD players with component instead of HDMI.

Anyone would think you're suggesting it's being connected via composite. ;)

*** removed insults ***
Do you know anything about computers, monitors or graphics cards or are you just trying to be the big I am?

Points:

You do know not everyone needs a graphics card to play high-end games and on-board suits them just fine.

EVEN IF they do play games (which i do, and some fairly high end ones at that in full 1680x1050 resolution that these monitors offer) they can and maybe do use DSUB VGA.

Im willing to bet you have never used this monitor, let alone own it.. Like i do, and have done for the past YEAR using it almost every day (including use as an xbox 360 screen)

its £90 for a 22" LCD.. That is great value
Its a very good screen that has served me very well.
I would recommend it after having used it for a year for the following:

Graphic Design

Films

Games (including recent titles)

Xbox 360

General web browsing

Word processing and misc work

Photo editing
and Smiff... What the hell... the site you linked to lists the monitor as.. and i quote:
"Pretty good monitor, top quality"

At this price, unless you are desperate for a DVI monitor you would be a fool not to pick this up.

hey Jetpac, i agree, polly is ignorant.
i was just going by the expert reviews.. the user reviews for this are pretty good. but then.. user reviews written by people who haven't tried many monitors may not be reliable..
I am tempted by this.. i'm on a 22" on VGA now and quality is great (HP L2208w was £108)

Just found this 22" monitor with DVI for £96.05 delivered (you can also get 2% off quidco):

#22
price actually increased! beware everyone!
#23
I hate when the VAT is not included.

The BT shop deal is better at £104.53 delivered, including DVI, although "white gloss" may not be everyone's favourite!

Oh, look at that, The dabs.com deal at #22. (also owned by BT).

The firesale is beginning?
#24
I agree that Polly is a complete moron; The DVI input on my dell ultrasharp is no better than the VGA for quality. Many LCD users have found the same thing, and very occasionally the VGA can give a perceptibly better picture than the DVI! (and of course the reverse is sometimes true - It all depends on the monitor. Either way, any difference is very hard to detect). Similarly, in my experience HDMI can offer a negligible difference in performance over Component, despite it being digital. (and I've used quite a few different flatscreen displays in my time)
#25
Fantastic monitor shame there is no DVI
#26
Woo, great Price! heat added!

Conclusion: 外观上:乳白色的机身,银色边框修饰,光鉴亮丽的屏幕设计,棱角分明的底座设计,使得产品极具个性与时尚质感。:whistling:

£120 posted to NI / Isle of Man.

£103 posted. Was going to buy it for the £90. I'm well ****** off now.

Was a good deal while it lasted though.
#30
great price already have a 22" monitor and i will never go smaller, this is a bargain price
#31
I've got the P223W (Silver surround, black stand) from PC World a while back and it's fine for using with a PC if you don't want something pixel sharp. I don't use it on the native as it's simply to small as I don't sit 2 feet from monitor. That's why I bought a big one so I can sit further away and I use 1280x768 resolution. Most other resolutions don't work too well aspect and pixel wise but I haven't install the drivers (if it came with monitor)

I could use a program called Powerstrip and get my own custom resolution as I'd prefer it to be a bit more than 768 but I've managed for months now

one thing about the monitor is the colours are a bit washed but still great to watch widescreen videos etc

as someone mentioned paying the premium for DVI isn't really worth it as most people won't be fussed. It's even less of a debatable subject to that HD to Full HD :-D. For less than £90 this was a bargain for those who aren't fussed about having a top notch image and for that price can you even grumble? 8-)

bought this monitor 18months ago for 140 quid

awesum monitor, glossy finish, well built and sturdy

i would reccomend it to anyone, i might buy another so i have 2 of the same monitor :w00t:

I've been looking for a new monitor since i am using a 17inch one i got in 1999 which although working shows dark image overall.

Very good deal this one. For anyone interested, the quoted message translates (google) close to:

"Appearance: the body milky white, silver frame modified, Kam-kwong, bright screen design, defined edges and corners of the base design makes the product highly personalized fashion and texture."
#34
Actually i just realised that its like 103 pounds not 89.99.

You have to apply the CRIMBO voucher, which brings it down to £84.99 + 4.99 delivery = £89.98.

Not a very good review here though.

Still trying to decide on one.

+ 13.50 Vat = £103.48

BT offer is better 104.53 for monitor with dvi
