Good features, HDCP and DVI and good size aswell.

Just hope it comes with a 3 year warranty - doesn't say anything on Dabs.
#3

how does this compare to the 22" dabs value for £96.05 delivered?
They both have VGA and DVI, but has anyone seen the panels in action?
#9
can you add a virgin box to this?

Wish I had my Xmas money in the bank, getting a new PC soon so this would be perfect. I'll get it another time. :)
#15
damn, 2500:1 compared to the 1000:1 contrast ratio on the Dell. I do like the look of the dell though so i think i will stick with my order. lets just hope it arrives before too long
#16
Great deal, wasn't that long ago since my monitor broke and got replaced with a 19" monitor. I paid a little bit more than this one costs. Voted hot.
#17
if it was black i would buy it :)

How does this one acer 22"
this one.

And the dabs 22" value one compare which is best?

Also does anyone know anything about cdiscount are they a good brand at all? Are they likely to rip me off or scam me? I have not got any reviews, feedback or personal use with them so want to know if they are dodgy.

Many thanks,

I nearly bought this today until i saw the Acer... Is this one better than the Acer? I can get it on someones staff discount for £99. Hasn't got DVI but the contrast ratio is loads better...

tsukasi, stapsell, d1fferent & audin, I'd say this one may be the best of the lot, because of the extra connectivity/features for one thing: DVI-D, HDCP & CrystalBrite (btw, anything with 'value' in the name that saves 5% puts me off!) - some user reviews at Newegg. Don't ever base a TFT purchase purely on artificially inflated dynamic contrast ratios! A screen that quotes a 800-1000 [static] contrast ratio will be just fine for the majority of users & at this price point. CDiscount is absolutely fine - see the many deals posted on HUKD already.

ebybrit & dmsuper51, don't go by outward looks alone. Don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere that a light-coloured (white/beige/silver) panel/surround is supposed to be 'better on the eyes'. There's a black version of this, but it costs £20-25 extra unfortunately.

Diekund, I'm sure your Dell will be just fine.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It must be noted that this has CrystalBrite technology, which means a more 'reflective' screen than a standard TFT monitor - it's one of those things you either love or hate. However, it should be OK as long as it's used in a relatively dimly-lit room without curtainless windows/light sources behind the user to cause annoying/distracting reflections (basing this on my experience of Dell's similar TrueBrite technology). About CrystalBrite here & here.

"Introductory offer ..... Due in more than 4 weeks"

Wonder whether it will ever see the light of day ...

BTW, why are the 24" screens still so expensive (in comparison with these) ??

Received today. Good quality of picture and good looking white casing. One problem with resolution, I can't setup on my laptop native resolution 1680/1050 :(

Hi, can you post a nice pic please?

Is the white casing standout/glaring 'white'? Thanks :)

Rep for anyone who can post their own pics / do a little review.

received today, excellent monitor, but when i connect my xbox 360 to it using a vga cable the resolution is blurry, i have tried all the different resolutions, still the same !!
#25
Going to buy one in a second I think :)

Bought two for my video editing laptop - I'll be back to review them when it gets delivered. Just a little worried about dead pixels as 3 of the 10 reviews mentioned them. Crossing my fingers!
#27
I have just Bought one of these to use with my xbox 360.

Has anyone else had the blurry problem mentioned by the previous comment?

Or you could get some masking tape & give it a black paint job :p - or pink, or yellow, or whatever else takes your fancy.

I hope mine will arrive today.

I spoke to out I.T. monkey today. and he said that most monitors will be blurry untill you use the 'autosetup' or if you need to manually configure the image display.

Iam convinced they should be ok.

I will post results when i get my monitor up and running tonight

Got both of mine yesterday in the afternoon. I forgot how massive 22" monitors are! Anyway, I set them up on my laptop and they're working perfectly in their native 1680x1050 resolutions. Don't know what people are talking about with them being blurry, cause they're not at all blurry.
Been working with them on general web browsing and some music recording/mixing across both monitors, It's made it easier for me to see everything on the screens, editing away and I can forsee it being incredibly useful with my video editing, too. Also looking forward to editing my pictures on them.

Ultimately folks, unless you don't like the piano white, they're a steal. Great quality screens for the price. Just kicking myself a little that I didn't spend the extra on the Fujitsu-Siemens 23" screens for the full 1920x1080 - 1080P size. But that would've cost me another £75. I'll keep them in mind for another machine, though!

Thanks to the OP for the deal!

Got mine last night and plugged my 360 into it.

the result a perfect picture no blur what so ever.

For reference i set my 360's Vga at 1280 x 768 which is just about 720P Hd resolution.

I belive you can set it higher and then set your 360 to wide screen

People shoule be aware that Pc monitors are 16:10 and HD tvs are 16:9 so using this monitor you will get slight image streching. this is cureable by reducing the screen size (y axis)though the monitor front controls .

Hope this helps

Any pictures?

imdurc, thatnks for the review & pics :). Please post some in the daytime / bright lighting. I just want to see how 'bright' the white surround looks, ta

Does the glossy/reflective screen bother you?

You mention a Fujitsu-Siemens 23" monitor in your previous post & paying £75 extra. But what about this F-S 23" for ~£144, excluding £6 Quidco.
