you posted something which already had been posted, why didnt you just post the link for what you found on this thread, were here to post deals, so saving a few pence, doesnt make hardly any difference, and in future it would save a lot of clutter on here if you just post similar deals on the original post for that item, not like as if it was a 360 deal or a ps3 where they come in different prices and bundles. Im also saying it as someone else has posted same deal as you. I never knew the X222W was this popular :?

Glossy/reflective screens can be really irritating (I hate them as i'm a graphic designer). For entertainment DVD/Games they can be great. All down to personal preference though if it's not work related.

the 223w is a lovely looking monitor, we have the 193w's at work. I was actually after the 22" one, damn this site!!!

Im not gonna argue, all i was saying was it would be better to see 2 more links in one thread rather then 2 more threads of one specific tft. so you win, enjoy the moment, as i gotta rush out. peace

One minor point to watch out on, I bought a batch of Acer 22" screens for work a few months back and they are(were?) let down by the stand. We have 4 or 5 that lean either left or right, it doesn't affect the display in anyway but I find it a bit irritating.
#18
Is this a little cheaper:-

http://www.saverstore.com/productinfo/product.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=20026201&pid=10&tid=195

Add delivery which the site says is £5.99 (I haven't gone right through the checkout) and the total should be £115.98

My company bought a 24inch version last year and after 3 month of usage, the screen developed fault where the bottom part of the screen does not display anything. Sent back to the manufacturer and they replied that it is beyond economical repair so got a new one instead. The people who came to collect the screen told me they have returned a lot of ACER screen. Anyway, the good things is that its 3 yrs warranty and when it does go faulty, they do something about it.

I wish they would always quote both the static and dynamic contrast ratios, so you know exactly what you're getting, because they mean different things. LCD TVs are the worst for that - they'll advertise a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 which sounds fantastic, but that's the dynamic one of course, and they pretty much never tell you the static one.
So this is 1000:1 static and 2500:1 dynamic contrast ratio. That's pretty good.

I was just looking for a new monitor today and this is very tempting, but I was hoping to get a 24" one. Are there any hot deals for a 24" monitor with decent specs?
#22
sorry guys might seem like a daft question but this DVI thing now does that mean i need some kinda converter to plug it into a VGA socket:oops:
#23
Nice spot, thanks =)
#24
Anyone have experience with Microdirect?

Returns.. warranty etc?
#25
Good luck if you buy from Micro Direct, in my experience their customer service is shocking.
#26

This has VGA and DVI.Almost all monitors have VGA but they have to pay extra tax to use DVI ,thats why they usually cost more
#28
Does anybody know if this monitor could be used with a freeview box or 360? Cheers
#29
I have the X223w and can't fault it- great deal.

Could I plug my SKY into this?

Why do people ask these questions all the time? I'm all for being helpful but it's not that hard for people to do their own research and find out for themselves.

That monitor only has VGA. The Acer has DVI as well...

i'm tempted by this, but i'm feeling this maybe a better deal for the £10 extra

I'm so tempted.... but I must must must hold out till after Christmas when a cheapish 24" Samsung will hopefully pop up :)
#39
LOL.... yeah, 24 sounds nice, but when i weighed off the increase in resolution, and subsequent decrease in icons and text size in relation, the 22" is a better proposition for my use

still available, plus price lowered by a few pound, ive edited opening post :)
