Already posted pre-VAT rise.

It's a great monitor, doesn't like VGA from an Xbox 360 though.

Great price for a good spec monitor, have some heat.

Hot deal, over £160 everywhere else with the exception of acerdirect which is still £122. This is exactly what I am looking for just can't make my mind up between this & the Iiyama ProLite 22'' E2271HDS LED Monitor for £135.82.
£23 extra for LED, is it worth it. Any help wpuld be appreciated.

It wouldn't be fair to give any particular extra value to a monitor that has LED lighting, it does not ensure a better picture - you'd be better off spending 23 if the picture quality was much better.

Personally, I can't tell the difference between most decent monitors.

This one was 110 on Ebuyer a few days ago. Reviews are pretty awesome, so I picked a couple to try out. Went up twenty quid now.

Weird the 23" acer I posted here here which is another 1.5 inches wider twice the contrast ratio includes a HDMI cable and only another £26 delivered only got little over 20 degrees heat yet this one gets 10 times the heat.

Boy you guys sure know the value of a pound!!!

I bought my Dad the monitor in my post and its amazing has all three cables and is 23" of Graphic magic.

My concern buying a monitor mail order is dead pixels. All but the extreme top end standards allow for some dead pixels but if you buy in store you can check it first. Don't want the bother of sending it back. Had an older monitor with a couple of faulty pixels and it was really annoying.

Also, be aware that if you're upgrading from an older format (4:3?) to a widescreen you'll need a MUCH bigger size before the vertical dimension is larger, otherwise no real size gain.

You may be right but poor losers don't get much support on here!

It's not a competition you know. Just info for the masses and your post was helpful. Unfortunately price does tend to get more heat than value - but the more discriminating can still make up their own minds.

Unless u need the HDMI, id still recommend the BenQ G2222HDL. Bought mine for xmas and I'm very happy with it!

congratulations you paid £144 for an inch and a half more screen , oh and a free hdmi cable which you more or less paid for , this is a hotter deal , i'd notice more cash back in my wallet than i would notice the difference in the other monitor.

I have this monitor and rate it very highly. Use it for my PC and Xbox. I'm not too fussy but it is actually pretty damn awesome... I play games on both at 1080p they look fantastic :)

For this price it is really good value for money. I paid £160 about 12 months ago.
