can't find any reviews on this, I'm hoping for a black Friday deal on the Epson tw5350
#2
Im waiting for epson tw530 too... Have you seen it in action or researched its the best one for around that price? Ive compared spec but sometimes being in the know says otherwise
#3
I looked around for reviews, can't find any other than what customers posted on amazon
#4
Advise if there are experts on projector whether to go for this or not... The price is heavily discounted though....

the TW5300 was £399 yesterday but gone back up now, I really want the TW5350, if that hits £400 it will be a no brainer, it's easily the best sub £1000 projector.

my issue with this one is that it's DLP, didn't bother me personally but that technology makes my wife sick so trying to get a 3lcd one.

Would you get the Epson with the built in wifi or optional WIFI?

personally I'm going for the wifi so I can use miscast and auto firmware updates etc. I guess it depends if you'd use it, being able to directly stream from phones and tablets is a good feature. But then again the non wifi does have an Ethernet port if you're happy with cakes r

is this wifi epson better quality than the Optoma HD141X ?
anyone found it reduced online?

Nice to see projectors being posted.

I think this looks excellent and have ordered its a lot more elsewhere like fact you can change the angles so easier to hang from ceilings it has a lot better throw ratio than was used to so can have nearer or go bigger, was already on a 120 inch screen with a acer X152H and happy just got unlucky bulb blown full refund or replacement. Gone with this as think its a good upgrade and looks better/just as good than the Optoma.

The best projector for under £1000 is the Benq W1110S. Absolutely stunning picture at 120".

Does anyone know if this one in the USA is the same as the TW5350 non wifi (link below)? Looks like similar spec.. Also - would there be any issue with buying in USA and using in UK? My sister in law is in the US.. so could potentially buy over there. It's $499 .. which is £400!
thanks

I brought one it's my second projector got 120 inch screen it filled at around 3.2m ceiling mounted can hide an original chromecast inside if want in a 3rd Hdmi slot. Picture is exceptional. Bluetooth seems to work well. Speakers on it are surprisingly good and it's been quiet. Contrast and brightness big improvement on my previous acer.

does it have a powered usb for fire stick etc ?

Yes one on outside 5v can be left on in standby in settings. The compartment inside was designed for the original chromecast with power too. So can't fit amazon firestick as power goes in side same with new generation chromecast just two wide. But they work fine in back. Got Bluetooth receiver arriving tomorrow to test on amp tried casting the audio from my Android box hidden in ceiling while played a movie but slight timing issue might be able to fix in settings on chromecast app.

Mounted on ceiling drilled hole to poke power and Hdmi cable from above lifted floorboard. I liked idea as no channels and cable tuning. Sounds good but trying to figure surround sound to amp other side of room.

thanks, so that is a definite yes to using a fire stick on this?
and i can bluetooth sound to my sounbar.
so hows picture compare to the optoma?

My firestick has its own power haven't tested yet as preferred my Android box and chromecast. The Bluetooth I just turned on in settings on projector hit search turned on my Bluetooth headphones told them to search the project found them straight away. One tap paired and think another to choose to send the audio. Looks like may do multipoint to more than one device. Was simple quick my headphones are Bluetooth 4 not sure what the projector is but didn't find an issue. It has two 20w speakers using now and it's fine too expected that to be a let down isn't.
#24
It's a different type of bulb from the Acer X152H I had and seems a completely different class. Can check firestick tomorrow if want.

thanks for that
i cant chose between this and the £399 optima,or the £629 benq w1110s,guessing they are very similar?
are the blacks bad? I've got the 720p optima from years back, blacks are rubbish on that

can you do a video and post it to youtube by chance? yours would be the first one for this model

Blacks are not bad at all. Been very happy with them. Yes will look at doing that bit worried my phone won't do it justice.

This was a brilliant projector.. happy with it. Picture quality is excellent. Audio from projector is surprisingly good.. but connect to a Bluetooth amp and you get a cinematic experience... it was a cracking deal
