Think thats not bad to be honest with you. Its swings and roundabouts with these battery life descriptions, sometimes there not as long as they state and vice versa.

good price..nice spec..have some heat

I vote it's hot. Acers are normally good laptops.
#21

Afraid not, unlike PC's you stuck with what you get in a laptop.

Purchased the 5742 Core i3 and now no sound!!!!!!!!

MONO SPEAKRS S*CK big time!!! return to amazon!!!

I will spend extra for this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/222269

Pros:
better graphics
better make
"Lenovo
Lenovo makes good and study laptops. Many technicians said they just dont see them fail much."
better sound ( i does make big difference )

Con:
Less Men (2gb only one slot so very easy to upgrade)
Less HDD space (Get a NAS later)
Less processor

and the most MY choice!!!!
#28
lol, you enjoy that Lenovo.
#29
i've had good experience with acers but my latest one has developed a fault with the screen, does any one know if i can get a refund on a 12day old laptop?
#30
I've owned a few laptops and I generally find Acer laptops the least reliable, especially when it comes to charging / battery issues.
#31
They also have Refurbished versions of this with the same warranty, faster processor, a vga port and £20 cheaper;

#34
In terms of graphics, will this be able to play the likes of FM11 and the next FM12 etc?

2 speakers (stereo) and bluetooth .

How much money did they save putting one bloody speaker in :lol and bluetooth modules are not dear. Suppose you can always just get one of those 99p BT from china

(YIK it's Stereo through the headphone socket and that laptop speakers are not normally the best to start with but that just makes it worse then taking one of them away)

This is rubish I want it to have 100years of battery life and a 50" screen that shrinks down to fit in the laptop when closed (but I can change the screen size to suit my needs) and Geforce 1million seriers Graphics with 100gb of memory. Add 7 quad core i7 processors running at 50phrz and 2tb of memory and a 100petabyte solid state hdd. If they do that I will buy it... :-)

Would this be anygood for gaming then? or am I way of the scale even thinking this would be any good?

Plus it has to be under £300. Otherwise it's a cold deal coz you can get a better spec for more money. ;)

I forgot to mention I wanted them to pay me for the hassle of coming up with the spec £100 should do it
And a Yello Ray Drive (which is like hundred times better than bluray)
