Just had to get one! Keep the girl happy on christmas day!

Decent, but the GPU is awful, as with most netbooks.
Also not sure what the point of Android is on a netbook without a touchscreen. Doubt it'll get must use with Win7 bundled anyway.

So glad I picked up an Acer Aspire One 521 when they were £190.

Difference being with that , it's XP Home and I read somewhere on here that XP will not be supported after 2011 or something like that . I bought a netbook that was on here the other week from HMV , £10 cheaper , much longer battery life and Windows 7 .

HMV Link

Note to anyone that decides to buy it from that link , there's no Bluetooth although it is listed in the features or was when I read it originally . Think it's a generic description lifted from the Acer website . However good deal from OP and heat added .

Windows XP (SP3) is supported until 2014.

WLAN. WPAN: Bluetooth® 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) WWAN: UMTS/HSPA at 850/900/1900/2100 MHz and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE(850/900/1800/1900 MHz), upgradeable to 7.2 Mb/s HSDPA and 5.7 Mb/s HSUPA, supporting receiver diversity and equalizing at 2100 MHz (for 3G model) ------ i.e. this aint it

8 hour battery ( means 5 in real world)
Described as " 720p HD Display" in 2 places but chipset will require significant software massaging to attain that kinda of sustained video, I believe

I bought an acer aspire one d260 from expansys with dual operating system (windows 7 starter and android) for 189.99. better deal i think! the benefit of android is much quicker to start up and shut down.

It's £199.99 for a refurbished item.

£189.99 with a £10 off code. Yes, its refurbished but in my opinion its better to have refurbished with a longer battery life.

I'm also interested in buying the d260 from expansys but am worried if the netbook will arrive with scratches as its a gift. I dont mind the open box as I will need to open the box to set things up anyway before giving it. What condition did yours arrive in, any scratches or visible indications that its refurbished?

Also what was the £10 off code you used?

Thanks

Mine arrived in perfect condition with not a scratch to be seen anywhere. Seal on inside box was broken as expected. Use EXPANSYS10 for £10 off £200 so you'll need to buy something else to take the price over £200.......like a cheap cable maybe.

Thanks, I just ordered one. Free next day delivery, should arrive tomorrow.

The Acer site explains that they have 5 categories for refurbished laptops, A1 - 'open box' means unused as new, A2 - Minor Cosmetic Damage, A3 - Moderate Cosmetic Damage, etc. So hopefully there should be no scratches, also talked to Expansys they agreed that if there are any scratches I will just send it back.

Unfortunately the discount code expired 1st Dec.:(

The reason I went for this deal rather than the HMV one (which essentially is the same hardware with the same 6-cell battery, but in a boring case) is the dual boot Android. Ability to be surfing the web in 15 seconds is a great addition.
