17.3" Acer laptop with Intel core i3 processor, 3GB memory and 320GB hard drive, this laptop is a great all rounder.

I was looking for a 17inch Laptop with Intel i3 processor, Graphics card, Gigabyte LAN, HDMI port, preferbaly a Toshiba or Dell, but might settle for this cos of the price.
You need to put the code 6400 in to get this price, also could get bit chaeper with 3% quidco.

Hi, Looking for a 17” laptop at the moment.

I picked up the aldi/medion deal a little while back – but can still return it on the 28 days refund I think.

Laptop is needed for general office stuff, photoshop and autocad work (other half is a designer) Possibly be good to do a little bit of video editing on it too.

Am I better off with the Medion which has I-350 with the onboard graphics or this one with the I-330 and dedicated graphics

Medion Akoya E7214 (MD 98410) was £499.99 now £399.99
17.3″ High Definition Notebook
500GB Hard Disk
3 GB RAM
Dolby Home Theater v3
Integrated webcam and microphone

(Comments about medion as a brand have been noted already!)

The code did expire, but has now been reactivated till the 19th October.

hmm tough call winterhasarrived
I considered the 17" Medion deal - and my uses would be much the same as yours.

If I was to buy right now; I'd probably go with the Acer.
The extra £20 or so worth it for the GPU, extra memory - and 64 bit Windows; which helps with the new Adobe apps.

I *think* the Medion ships with Windows 7 32bit?

However - for most Adobe apps - both machines aren't bad.

Althought the Aldi deal was very good this deal seems even better.

Worth noting that the Medion comes with a free 3 year guarantee. £120 quid extra at Comet.
