good spec... a lot of laptop for the money
#2
I agree that it seems a good spec., but hasn't this already been posted a couple of times in the last week at varying prices? Makes me wonder why Ebuyer have to keep reducing the price in order to shift them.....

Purchased and Heat Added - I was looking for laptop for my 11 year old for Xmas - this will do nicely. (Better than my lappy !!). Looks to play Sims 3 which he is also getting :)

Selling quick. Sold about 40 in the 20 mins I was researching it !!!

(about £100 cheaper than other stores on google shopping - unless looking for a refurb)
#4
according to ebay this is the price for today only....
#5
Bought for xmas pressie. Oooh they're selling fast. Cheers op.
#6
Nice find! Thanks... Heat Added:)
#7
nice one

Full featured laptop at a netbook price.

Heated!
#9
Thank you!

Wow this for a 11 year old? Wish I was that lucky at that age!

Does this have BT?
#11
Some fiar deals but Acer have a 50p per minute line for tech support and out of warranty

That puts me off them.

Post a link or two then

... meanwhile I'll just watch the tumbleweed while I wait.

Wow, this is a lot of computer for the money. I like the spec, especially the hi res screen and HDMI out socket. The cpu has about the same performance as a Dual Core Celeron T3100 - fine for general work and watching movies. Priced at less than 300 beer tokens, this is amazing value for money and is deservedly flying off the shelves. If i was in the market for a general purpose, full size laptop it would definitely be near the top of my list. hot!
#16
While this laptop will certainly play games, don't expect to getting decent frame rates out of the sims 3. A 256mb card (which this one has) will most likely render it unplayable on all but the absolute minimum of settings.
#17
Battery life is very poor but for the price its still ok

• Estimated battery life: up to up to 2 hours and 40 minutes
#18
Is the version of Windows 7 Home Premium the 64-bit one? It doesn't explicitly say.

Whoosh!

The poster was being ironic methinks (unless your reply was ironic too as that is usually the standard response, in which case whoosh me....)

I think you'll only get pennies from Quidco. Their cashback is based on the seller's fee
rather than the price of the item. That's why I didn't bother with Quidco.

But seems a good price for a decent laptop.

It does look like a good spec for the money.
Cannot seem to find one any better for the price - bought one!
In Argos, similar spec but with a smaller HD is £399, seem to be other, but all with lesser spec
They have currently sold 250, obviously going fast!
Thanks

Exact same question for me as in the market for a laptop for normal browsing etc and the only game I would use it for is Football Manager

NOTE: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hp-g72-103-core-i3-250gb-hdmi-quidc/791107

For only £80 more this The i3-330M processor is almost 50% faster than this P320!

Of course, people choose their laptops on more than just CPU power.

DOH - not sure what to do...

Been looking for a Netbook for our son (under 10) to do his homework and stuff, and browse kids websites ,etc. But wated something half decent too.

Was gonna spend upt o £250 on a netbook, but foir £50 more, I'm seriously considering this now!!

Any advice, or is it pretty obvious??!!!

johnson - don't buy a netbook, buy this.

Johnson293: Buy this as this is far better than a netbook (although not a portable), as it is more powerful and will be more useful in most instances.
#33
Netbook great for travel etc like I had to take to New Zealand (Samsung NC10) but in all honesty I am looking at buying this one as it's just not up to the job really.
#34
Gone for it - had £39 in my paypal account from recent ebay sales, so the net cost to me (well, my credit card) is £260 for this!!

Cheers for the heads up ,and the advice!

This one is much more vesatile than a netbook. The DVD drive will be useful and HDMI output will allow you to view movies on your telly.
#36
Is this fairly fast when using Internet and can it handle most applications such as PowerPoint etc
#37
It'll handle apps just fine, like I say though you don't want to be buying this one for gaming (if your idea of gaming is anything from the last 5 years or so)
#38
Sounds like it'll be perfect for us/our son.

We wanted it for him to do some homework stuff on in his bedroom or downstairs without needing a whole desktop pc set-up (which I already have), but also so he can use basic drawing software (MS Paint or similar), and be able to browse CBBC websites and such like. Which is why we'd originally been looking at Netbooks, but they dont have the optical drive either, and he doesn;t really need to take it outdoors or carry it round with him yet.

This just ticks all the boxes, and should be good enough to last a few years (i.e. shouldn't need upgrading or anything).

Had my payment processed email, so just waiting the dispatch notice.

Play.com are also selling this. Spec is slightly different though...

The laptop has onboard graphics card - ATI Radeon HD 4250 Graphics with 256 MB - will give ability to play games like Doom 3 or Quake 4.

Has a 250GB hard disk instead of 320GB.
