This is the first deal I have posted and think its a good one. Came across this as looking to buy for a relative. Spec is descent for price I think?
#2
Looks ok to me

The spec is just ok. CPU is slow; memory good, hard disk ok. And has an HDMI port.

The Microsoft Office Starter onsists of limited-functionality versions of Word and Excel and includes advertising.

These are both pretty average for budget models. The CPU on both are fairly lowly examples. The first one has HDMI (don't know about the second).

If your budget can go upto £300 this might be better https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_B550_1029392.html4GB RAM 500GB disk and CPU is about 25% better. No HDMI (if that's important to you)

Dell XPS L501X £328.55 delivered from the Dell outlet
#7
budget was upto £300 so anything over is out. requirements are for surfing and email,so think this comes out on top.person who wants it is not that good with techy stuff! I personally like acer as I got a 5732z 500gb 4gb ram pentium t4400 2.2ghz off play and it has been superb for my needs. almost 6 months and only issue is touchpad has worn from silver colour to black underneath in middle.. £379 delivered.

Could you please link this. Cheapest I could find was £383 inc. the whopping £22 delivery and REFURBISHED as all Dell outlet machines are !!

Also mckayc said " Less ram, but dual core."
The processor in this laptop is the same AMD dual core processor. So I would say this is the better deal.

expired now, my order is "awaitign stock" :(
#11
My order was cancelled :( ordered the lenovo g555 instead.
#12
My order was put on hold due to credit card company. seems it is classed as overseas according to cust service. anyway, sorted out with cc company and now order shows as being packed. gone up to £399 now though so deal expired for that reason.
