i think this is a good deal as been looking for speedy laptops all day and then found this ...and alot of reviews saying its a good speedy laptop , but that was reviews when it was £700 so now i would imagine they wouls all give it a 10/10 rating price and powr ..only thing missing is bluetooth but the cost of a dongle of £5 is nothing ..

also the PC35 for £35 is included in the price as the online price is £549.99..

also done forget 3% quidco ...im very tempting in buying this laptop to play football manager 2011 on..

Hope you enjoy your purchase but I can't help thinking your over paying for this lappy.

Right now, you could get a 15.6" laptop from Aldi for £349 which has an dual core 2.1 Ghz AMD P320, ATI 5470, 4GB RAM and a 320 GB HDD. Both the Intel & AMD quad core processors only perform if you have software that can take advantage of the cores. Many games can only use one core and then processor speed is everything.

If I were you, I'd wait for the new Medion P6624 that might possibly be one sale at Aldi later this year. Read the reviews. This is something spesh!

my local aldi sold out within days of having them ...so i knew that was a no no ..also next store 60 miles away never had any stock ..its the stock issue as always is with aldi ..but saying all that my m8s have had medions and have had problems with the wifi keep dropping as the laptop kept over heating ..and the medions really do over heat ..!! and yes i would of got a medion if there were stock ..but now i have settled for the Acer ..

There's such a laptop in Aldi Camberley in Hampshire. I was there yesterday and it's still there. On at £349. Maybe if you ask your local Aldi manager, maybe he could ge it transferred to your local branch?

I wouldn't have recommended Medion laptops if I didn't think they were ok. I've had my P6620 for over a year and it's been a brilliant machine. No probs whatsoever. I don't really need to replace my P6620 but the new P6624 (i3-370M, 4 GB RAM, 640 GB HDD, Nvidia 425M [fab for gaming!!!]), if it sells for £599, may be just too tempting!

Reason why I went for the acer was cus of the far faster CPU as I like to multitask .

Last time I looked at a deal with this processor I seem to remember it rated somewhat better than an i3 and around the same as the slower i5s so it's no slouch - should be a nice machine. It's not a bad deal at all for new...

It's hard to over-stress these new CPUs - my i5-540 nearly always has cores parked - you really need SSD disks to be able to run at full speed, my 7200 320Gb is always the bottle-neck.

COLD VOTERS please state why voting cold....THIS IS A QUAD CORE LAPTOP ...!!

there is another one of these posted on hotukdeals at argos for £499 ...and has got hot ..but this version is much better and faster with more ram and much better graphics ...goes to show what people know and what they actually do read..

Sounds like a pretty good deal, quad vote and dedicated graphics card too. Buying from pc world would put me off it however. Hope you enjoy your machine.

recieved the laptop yesterday and ...WOOOW ..what a machine ..its got 2 graphics cards ..one for playing games and one for power saving ..a ati 4250 and a 5470 ...i have tried flatout ultimate carnage, alien vs predator , just cause 2 , cod 4 , cod mw2 , wolrld at war ...all all play flawlessly ..it even played crysis on low settings ..very stylish , widescreen ..full keyboard with numeric pad..quiet ..bad thing is that there is way to much bloat ware...so im going to buy a bigger hard drive and instal windows 7 myself..well happy with this .

anyone got a direct link to this? the only one listed at PCworld is £549 and has less RAM and an intergrated graphics card?
