Think the one posted before only had 1gb RAM.

Just rang them, very friendly, however they don't actually have this available, what they do have is this:
The guy assured me that it's exactly the same as the Aspire but just called a Travelmate.

Anyone know any different?
I was tempted to get the original laptop posted for my parents - as optional the 3rd warranty for £65 sounds pretty good considering you get a free mouse and laptop bag.

The alternative laptop doesn't appear to have the same warranty option.
I'd recommend getting the extended warranty if you can. A friend had an Acer from Comet that he had to return twice for screen failure (hardware) in the first few months and on the third time he got them to swap it for a Toshiba which he has had no problems with.

Other people have no problems with Acer laptops so you might be fine, but personally I'd get the longer warranty.
Looking at the warranties (on the sidebar) I think that all their laptops can have it extended for £65
Received mine yesterday.

So far, well impressed with the company's service and the lappy itself. Vista runs fine with the 2gig of RAM, this seems to be easily comparable with some of the Dell deals previously posted. Only downside I can see so far is that there's no word processing programme installed. Speedy Free Delivery (2days) and the built in webcam are big pluses for me!
