Although IMO hard disk seems to be very small for a new laptop it's still a well priced good system.hot.

I'd go for the Dell 1525 £339 shown on HotUK.Better specs and performer.

except for that sony vaio is better brand than acer, this laptop is better deal than:

am I right?

AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the Acer 5710 model and have had nothing but trouble with it. The volume control on it is ridiculous & does what it wants, the buttons on the keyboard fall off & it keeps overheating and shutting off.
I've only had it 5 months and am sending it back asap!!

I had this model albeit only had a 1.56ghz C2D but not much difference. The volume control does as it pleases, the mouse cursor moves spontaneously, the fan stopped working and over heats the machine (i know three!!! other people who had this problem and waited months for acer to return it in a even worse state) it has shoddy build quality, my CPU went to 80 degrees!!! the screen was loose, i contacted acer and waited weeks for no reply.

I can go on and on listing problems. Thankfully i got mine from Asda so i returned it two days ago for a full refund and ordered a HP of similar spec from Tesco for the same price, came earlier and its bloody brilliant compared to the acer. Avoid acer like i said in my previous post, they may be cheap for what you get but that is within reason, trust me and the thousands of others who have moaned about them online. I would rather pay a few pound more and get a reliable machine from a reputable company. AVOID ACER, NOT WORTH IT.

80 degrees, mine goes up to 95 on a daily basis :w00t:!!!!!! as we speak its @ 74 degrees, had to download a programme called speedfan so i can monitor the temp . Havent sent it back yet as waiting for a letter from littlewoods where i got it from stating the date in which i purchased it, need this to send off with it to Acer.
