Not a good price for a laptop with these specs. Processor doesn't stack up well with more recent AAMD Dual Cores, Celeron Dual Cores or Pentium Dual Cores.

yes but the more recent the higher the price......

>Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400

Confused.

According to your specs it has an AMD Athlon CPU AND an Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 CPU ?

The Amazon web site also shows both (select "see more technical details").

They seem to have mixed up the specs for two differtent laptops.

The title says "Intel Pentium Duel Core T3400" but the Product Description says "Do more and enjoy life more with the Aspire 5532! Advanced AMD mobile processor technology drives this 15.6"

Product Description also says "Acer Aspire 5532 Notebook PC Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core (TK-42) 1.6GHz 3072MB 320GB 15 inch CineCrystal TFT DVD-SuperMulti LAN WLAN Webcam Windows 7 Home Premium (UMA Graphics)"

Not at all - plenty of laptops at or lower than this price with more recent and better processors even if it has the better Pentium Dual Core rather than the the AMD.

That's a pretty horrific spec for the price...my T6400 aspire cost this a year ago!

T3400 laptops at this spec were regularly under £350 as much as 6 months ago.

well where can i get a laptop for 450 quid or less with a better spec then? there are so many out there and i am not a computer whizz by any means

For example

Similar spec but this Celeron Dual Core is a better processor

or for the same price and same RAM

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Satellite-15-6-inch-Processor-SuperMulti/dp/B00336EFZ4/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&s=electronics&qid=1268321115&sr=1-11

but I'm sure there are better options as well.

I think this is about the best bang for your buck at the moment...modern processor and HDMI too.
